aims of the society

1. Most clan groups has a stated mission. This is one example: To act as the representative body of all Clan Society members in America in transacting Clan Society business with overseas organizations.
2. To establish and maintain close ties with other Societies of our Clan throughout the world.
3. To promote fellowship and the meeting of members of the Clan Society for social purposes, for developing and expressing Clan Society opinions and for direction on Clan Society policies.
4. To strengthen our spirit of kinship to unite all MacFies and their Septs and their descendants even though they may hold membership in other clans.
5. To provide opportunities to its members to learn about the proud and long heritage of the Clan of which they are descendents.
6. To provide a focus for the collection of information about Clan history, to develop a means of preservation of genealogical record, to collect objects of historical value and cultural interest to the Clan and to establish historical and genealogical libraries.
7. To take an interest in the welfare of any disadvantaged member of the Clan in America and, when possible within the means of the Society, to assist those in need.
8. To encourage the participation of the Clan Society and its members at Highland Games and Clan Gatherings.

MacPhie Tartan, Historic Version

MacFie Clan of America
A Poem by W. Cliff McDuffie

Over the ages, they've come this way.
The Clans of Scotland, to the U.S.A.
Out of Colonsay, Glencoe, Ayr and Dundee
The lochs and firths of Ness and Clyde
From the Bens and Moors, they came away.
Bringing that strength, which is the Scottish way.
They settled here in this great land,
Shaping this country with a caring hand.
From the shores of Maine to the Pacific Coast,
From Canada to the Florida Keys.
We are Scots!
Family scattered, gathered now.
Proud Americans, to Scotland still true.
The MacFie Clan.
Red, White, and Blue!
