This unfinished piece is my own attempt at Hardanger embroidery. Anders' grandmother taught me how to sew Hardanger during our visit to Norway in 1992. This piece was finished in 1998.

I have most recently published the second edition of Coming Home to Colony, a history of the Brown family that settled Colony, Fayette County, Texas.  Copies have been placed in libraries in Flatonia, Waelder, and New Braunfels, Texas.  Copies also have been donated to the Texas State Library in Austin, Texas; the Clayton Genealogy Library in Houston, Texas; the genealogy section of the Dallas Public Library; and the Daughers of the American Revolution genealogy library in Washington D.C.
