ELIZABETH H. HOWARD was a Mid-wife, born June 1850. She was a widow who
owned her house in Ellicott City, Maryland (Howard County) free of mortgage.
She had seven children, six of whom were living, and five
still living with her in 1900:
- Mary (born August 1871)
- John (born December 1878)
- SOLOMON (Born July 1884, he died before 1931
in Ellicott City, Maryland, while still married to ROSE ELLA CRAWFORD.)
- Elizabeth (born April 1879?)
- Charley (born July 1880)
Also living with her were two nephews: Thomas, age 13 (born December 1886)
who was in school; and Clarence, age 8 (born August 1891).
There was a boarder named John Quin, age 30, who was a farm laborer.
SOLOMON HOWARD and ROSE ELLA CRAWFORD had three
sons, William, Frank and James Howard. FRANK
HOWARD married EDITH ABIGAIL HOLMAN.
They had FRANK HOWARD, JR. who married OUIDA
BAILEY COATES. Of their union, ten children were born.
Frank, Jr. also had one son (the oldest) from his previous union
with Esther:
