Welcome to the......

I hope that this webring may be a way for communities that participate in the Main Street Program to communicate with each other, and to be a way to facilitate the location of Main Street Program towns by outside interests, such as students, legislators, or potential funding sources. It is not meant to replace other resources, such as the National Trust's homepage listing. It is meant to be another means of accessing all of our sites, that may suit a more casual browsing style.

The only requirement for inclusion in the ring is that the site must concern the Main Street Program, as outlined by the National Trust for Historic Preservation. I anticipate that this ring will mainly consist of local programs' homepages and state programs, but certainly other related pages will be considered for inclusion. Non-official communities that employ the Program's 4-point approach of design, economic restructuring, organization and promotion are also welcome (This is my personal prejudice as my home community was a self-designated participant for about 2 years before official designation was achieved).

If you would like to be included in the Main Street Communities Webring, please fill out the form below. The ringmaster will screen your site to make sure that it is related to the Main Street Program, and if you qualify, you will receive e-mail within 7-10 days (usually sooner) confirming your addition to the ring and instructing you on what to do next.

This is what the webring table will look like after being added to your page:
