I LOVE TO JUST HOP ON AND GO RIDE ALL DAY, WHETHER IT BE ME BY MYSELF(what a way to relax and clear your head), OR BE IT WITH FRIENDS, OR ON TRAILRIDES. RIDING ON THE BEACH ON A HOT SUMMER DAY IS NICE TOO, BUT YOU HAVE TO REMEMBER THE HORSES GET HOT TOO!!
I LIKE TO SPEND TIME DOING THINGS WITH MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS.
"OFFSHORE FISHING", CAMPING, TUBING, DANCING, BBQ'S AND COOK-OFFS, RODEO'S,TRAVELING WHEN TIME ALLOWS, AND OCCASIONALLY A GREAT THROW DOWN PARTY.
"OFFSHORE" FISHIN' EXPENDITIONS
There is nothing like getting up at 5:00am in the morning, piling in the truck and heading down to the Colorado River to put the boat in for a day out at sea!! We usually leave the boat ramp about 6:00 - 6:30 am for a trip usually 38 to 40 miles out. We usually tie off to the first rig around 8:OOam. It is so beautiful watching the sunrise as you are sailing across the ocean..waiting to finally see that first rig in the distance.
Then when ya get there and you finally start fishing is when the fun really begins.....!! Don't get me wrong....offshore fishing is a great work out!! Constant reeling in and the anticipation to see what's gonna be on the end of that hook!! I have caught many good size red sanpper, a few king, some ling, lots of vermillion, but not one dolphin yet. Followed many sealines in the hopes of catching one.......but no luck yet!! That is the one thing that I want so bad to catch, now that I know Flipper is not a dolphin but in fact, a porpoise. Which those porpoises are beautiful to watch diving along side the boat......which is a sure sign ya better try your luck somewhere's else!! If they are around the fish are gone!! My ultimate fishing trip will be off the coast of Baja or even South America. My ultimate catch will be a Blue Marlin or a Swordfish that takes hours and hours and hours and probably LOTS of help to real in!!*LOL*

TUBIN' ADVENTURES
MY FRIENDS CHARLOTTE, BECKY, AND I TRY TO GET A GROUP TOGETHER EVERY YEAR AND GO TUBIN' ON THE GUADALUPE. AN ON-GOING THING FOR MANY, MANY, YEARS NOW. THIS IS THE TIME WE ALL PARTY ALL HOURS OF THE NIGHT AND PARTY ALL DAY FLOATIN' DOWN THE RIVER. AND FROM THE STORIES THESE GIRLS WILL TELL YA, THEY TAKE ME ALONG JUST FOR ENTERTAINMENT. OF COURSE YOU DON'T EVER DARE CALL IT AN EARLY NIGHT OR MY BROTHER, WILL, AND HIS GROUP OF HEATHENS WILL BEAT YOUR DOOR DOWN AT ALL HOURS OF THE NIGHT. WE MADE A MISTAKE ONE YEAR AND SHARED A ROOM WITH FOUR OF THEM GUYS, THE HOTEL WAS NEVER THE SAME. THEY BROKE THE BED JUMPIN' BACK AND FORTH (should have seen them tryin' to fix it *LMAO*) SEVEN OF US IN ONE ROOM........THE BATHROOM WAS HELL TO OBTAIN AT ANYTIME AND MOST OF THE TIME YOU COULD HANDLE BEING IN THE RANK THANG, THANKS GUYS!!

BBQ COOKOFFS
These guys are My younger brother's cook-off team!! We have two annual cook-offs here in Bay City. One is the kick-off to begin our local week of the Matagorda County Livestock Show and Rodeo. The second cook-off we have locally is an area GO TEXAN cook-off in which the winner of that one represents our county in the world's largest cook-off at the HOUSTON LIVESTOCK SHOW AND RODEO!!! These cook-offs usually last all weekend....
And are one big party!! We party all night playing cards, dominos, dancin' and drinkin', sharing the camper to take naps if ya can't hang, as the big pits are cranked up and cooking the BBQ all night. On Saturday afternoon the grub is tested by the judges, and of course all the teams offer their food to all the people who walk by. Some of the best BBQ and all free for those willing to eat!! Also on Saturday there are other events going on such as Hay Haulin', Washer Pitchin'contests, and of course one of the most famous Horshoe Pitching contest. There is alwyas a dance Saturday night and this is where they announce the winners and hand hand out the trophies and prizes for the best cook off teams!! For those of you who have never enjoyed one of these fine events.....Come on down to Texas and we'll show ya a grand ol' time and what hospitality is all about!!
RODEOS, DANCE HALLS, HORSEBACK RIDIN'

We have our own livestock show and auction (if ya make the sale) and four nights of rodeo action in which BAD COMPANY's World Rodeo Tours bring in the best PRCA rodeos in the world!! Rodeo is still one of the most popular sports here. Our community has had this tradition for over 50 years. It also supports much of the community and gives the kids of the future a chance at being our Future Farmers of America. As during my years as a youth I participated in this by raising chickens, lambs, and I showed steers all four years of High School.
Down the road......we have one of the biggest Rodeos in the world, THE HOUSTON LIVESTOCK SHOW & RODEO!!
DANCE HALLS
Oh and how I love to Country and Western dance.......
Don't get the time to do it much anymore.....but that Saturday night dance still gets my attention on occasion. We used to go EVERY Saturday night to one of our local dance halls(and yes...with a real wooden dance floor)!!! We have quite a few local bands here and they deserve credit, as they are great!!
Some of the famous artists started out playing in dance halls such as ours and some have played in ours as well!!
HORSEBACK RIDIN'
This is MY love, MY passion, and MY dream!!! Some day I will have my own horse ranch!! The best way to enjoy life!! Riding by yourself or in a group or just riding period!! I have had the opportunity to live the wild side participating in TRAILRIDES........ Oh what fun.........*GRINS*
I will never forget the induction....and what REGROUP means!!
The beauty of sleeping next to a campfire, cookin' outdoors, partyin' 'til the sun comes up.......and enjoying the outdoors!!
