SPRING....by Rekha Kamath
Hail the rule of sun on earth
for Spring is here again:
Molten lakes and rippling streams
quench every meadow and plain.
Dales and grasses coated green
sway in breezing harmony:
Buds unlocked in colorful hue are seen,
partaking in the new-born symphony.
Trunks and boughs armed with blossoms shelter our fluttering messengers;
And those that raise their voice in song
from deep within their bossoms.
Hoppers, peckers, buzzers, sniffers,
no longer hibernators; The twitter, croaks, different sounds and notes:
all sing the same love-song.
The babbling brooke, a shimmering fall,
a gargling laugh, a baby's bawl;
running feet, amother's call,
a swinging bat, a flying ball.
The fall of night, cool scented breath
a sensuous dance, a rythym of unrest.
The smell of a campfire, a burnt meal;
The dance of the sea kissing the shore,
the onset of slumber, asmile of hope.

THE COMING OF SPRING....by Ray H. Cordelia

The buds from winter' frost-work lift
Their dainty heads; a golden rift
Of sunshine from the misty space
Of Cloudland comes apace.

And we are sealed in dreams to-day.
Look! fair Spring beckons! wherefore stay?
Deep in the forest's mystery,
Strange visions we would see.

The young bird twitters on his nest;
His tender notes so long represet,
Soar to the ether, clear and calm,
A pure, exultant psalm.

The youth charmed by the whisp'ring leaves,
Tells life's sweet secret 'neath the eaves,
And finds more fair than sunset skies
The Springtime in her eyes.

What colors deck the woodland shade!
What airy pencilings! the glade
Is rich with lily-bells whose slow
Seems borrowed from the snow.

She comes fair Spring, with rhythmic pace!
Say, have you looked her in the face?
Her glance is ecstasy, her smile
All sorrow can bequile.

In reveries almost divine.
What visions bright before us shine!
Lo! erst we yearned: we see fulfilled
The fantasies we willed.

She comesour chant of praise to hear,
Sweet, airy Spring, and lingers near,
Without her dreams, her nameless hope,
How sadly would we grope!

We raise our heads, our hearts elate Meanwhile, and fit to toy with fate.
How can life's changes e'er distress
While clasped in Spring's caress.

ALONE AGAIN....by Shirley Carr

Well, here I am,
Alone again.
Now lets see,
How long has it been?
It seems this loneliness
Will never end.
Yes, Her I am
Alone again.

To be alone,
Can bring us change.
But I don't know how long
I can stand this pain.
Yet, here I am,
Alone again.

It seems only fair,
It is devine to share,
But sometimes I wonder,
does anyone care?
Oh, I have a friend every now and then
But most of the time,
I'm here,
Alone again...

PRAYER TO LIVE IN THE PRESENT...By Shirley Carr

God,
I spent so much time reliving yesterday or anticipating tomorrow that I lose sight of the only time that is really mine. The present. Remind me that the past with its success and failures, is over. I can make amends where I have hurt others or let them down, but I can't undo what has been done. The future is yet to be and eagerness or apprehension will not hasten or postpone it. You give me today one miute at a time. That's all I have, all I ever will. Give me the faith that knows that each moment contains exactly what is best for me. Give me hope that trusts you enough to forget past sins and future trials. Give me the love that makes each minute of life and anticipation of eternity with you. Amen.

LET GO, LET GOD.....( Author Unknown)

As children bring their broken toys,
With tears for us to mend;
I brought my broken dreams to God,
Because he was my friend.
But then instead of leaving him
In peace to work alone,
I hung around to help,
With way's that were my own;
At last, I snatched them back and cried:
"How could you be so slow?"
"My child", he said, "what could I do?",
" You never did let go!!"
