The Sticky Whiskers Gang

My name is Henrietta and I'm now the third member of the Sticky Whiskers Gang. My sister, Bit Bit was the original third member of "The Gang". However, she died from a brain tumor in 1992. At the time, I was still an employee of Dr Mark's at Pet Med in Antioch, Tennessee. (A suburb of Nashville) I was the resident blood donor when needed. This was hard work, for it always left me extremely weak for several days. I also liked to greet the customers. There is nothing like some good old Southern hospilality! However, the stress got so bad at one point that I was asked to retire. It appreared for awhile that I would be permantely retired (if you get my message) since no one wanted to adopt me due to my handicap. I have a birth defect that left my right paw turned under. I've adapted quite well, but not everybody wants a companion that might have problems from the start. My Mom, Lynn, rescued me after the loss of Bit Bit. She didn't really have room for me but she'd loved me on sight. I like to think I helped her some after Bit Bit's demise. She grieved so much.

I have short black hair and green eyes. I especially like to sit in the window and watch the birds outside. Having been on the street as a child and then working inside for several years after that, I didn't get to see much of the natural wildlife that is so abundant here. My Mom, puts food out for the pretty birdies. She knows we can't really get to them and that we enjoy watching them as much as she does. Actually, she's been known to call them her cat sitters!
