The Sticky Whiskers Gang

Niki

I'm Nikita, the fourth member now of "The Gang" since the untimely death of Pepper. I prefer to be called Niki and I have medium length grayish silver hair that my Mom syas reminded her of a Russian fur and green eyes. I was an unwed mother-to-be when I was rescued by my Mom, Lynn. I had been wondering the neighborhood looking for handouts and a place to have my precious babies. I had visited Lynn once and knew she would feed me. I was beginning to get anxious, since I knew I would be delivering soon. It was one of those awful nights when it's windy and fixing to storm. There was tornado warnings out it was so bad. I happened to wonder up when Lynn came home from work. Which was a stroke of luck on my part. She worked several jobs at the time and I was lucky to catch her home. She put some food out for me along with some milk. That was so thoughtful! Then it began to rain. I was determined to eat as much as I could before I got too wet. Lynn didn't feel right about me being out in the rain and especially in my condition so she brought me inside. It was only supposed to be until it stopped raining. I hugged Lynn's neck and told her how much I appreciated her kindness. She let me sleep with her and it was heaven to be inside out of the rain and safe and secure. It ended up raining for several days. I went into labor while Lynn was gone to work. She couldn't find me when she came home and I could tell by her voice she was getting concerned about me. Pepper knew where I was and showed Mom I was in a basket in the walk-in closet in the middle of having my children. I was so glad to see her, I jumped up and gave her a hug. She fretted over me and brought me some milk and food for nourishment. It helped a lot and I was able to finish the delivery with more energy. I had four children .... three boys and a girl. I guess you could say, we became members of Mom's ever growing family then. She did find homes for two of my boys, Rocky and Sandy. Rocky lived close to us for a long time. He died in 1996 from an intestinal blockage. I know his adoptive parents really miss him. My other two children, Lefty and Sabrina, still live with us. They are members of "The Gang". In fact, Lefty is usually considered by many to be the leader instead of our eldest member, Friskie. That is partially due to Friskie being semi-retired. I, like the rest of the gang, love junk food. I am especially fond of Kraft Olice Pimento Cheese Spreadand Purity French Onion Dip Of course, if it's cheese, it's boss! I like to listen to Country Music and watching birds.

I hope you'll come back to visit often. I'll be adding all sorts of neat things to my personal page as I'm sure the rest of "The Gang" will be doing.
