First . . . a little about my family. My husband, Charlie is a 23-year veteran of the police department and presently a Sergeant and Tour Commander of First Platoon. Our oldest daughter, Michelle, lives in Chicago with her husband, John and their little daughter, Katelyn Marie. "Katie" (as I like to call her) was born October 26, 1999 and is just beautiful. Charlie and I are thrilled to be grandparents!! Stephanie is presently serving with the United States Navy in Yokosuka, Japan. Becky is a senior in college at the Pennsylvania State University and graduates in May, 2000 and is hoping to begin a career in E-Business. Becky is also very active with the Campus Crusades Ministries. And last, but not least, we have Erica (the baby). She graduated High School in June, 1999 and is working at McDonalds right now. Oops! I forgot about me. Well, I'm Beth and I'm an at-home mom (have been for almost 15 years now). I run a small day-care center and take care of my family!

The Bible is full of precious promises from the Lord. That's why I've called my page "Beth's Home Page of Precious Promises". Everything I've written here is based on what I've learned from the Bible. I hope you enjoy your visit with me. The following is a poem of dedication to my husband, and all women married to police officers. Although I'm far from the woman described in this poem, it's what I strive to be.

One of the greatest tragedies in the world today is the daily extermination of our innocent babies and the Christian population's passive and indifferent attitude about this barbaric crime. This is a subject which burdens me greatly, and I tried to write the following poem from the baby's perspective. I called this one "A Baby's Prayer". Click below to read.

A friend sent me a picture of Jesus looking down on the earth with tears rolling down His cheeks. That picture haunted me as I thought to myself that Jesus surely must shed tears when He looks down and sees what His people are doing. It must break His heart. The result of that photograph is the poem which follows. I called this poem "He Cries" Just click on the title to read.

The next poem I wrote is called "The Armor of the Lord". It is based on Ephesians 6:10-18.

This poem is one I wrote which I also dedicated to my grandfather, William Fletcher, who went home to be with the Lord on October 18, 1997. This poem is about being a child with loving parents, growing up and having children of our own and finally - relying on the love and wisdom of our parents who have now become grandparents. It's one of those endless circles of love which we all need in our lives.
