Searching for 2 brothers adopted to the U.S. through the CC. The boys were adopted to different families in the Newark area so I have been told. Birth dates Derille June 17, 1966 and Edward Feb. 7, 1968. The adoption where handled by a Sister Mary Henry. his sister was responsible for over 900 Island babies from the late 50's to the early 70's being placed in the U.S. I am truly amazed that I never find one listing on any site for anyone from Prince Edward Island Canada. I just placed my baby for adoption. Every time I see someone like you looking for your birth parents I gives me hope that my daughter will someday look for me...I can only pray this will happen so I can tell her how much I love her. Rest assured that yo r birth mother feels the same about you. I can't imagine having to search as your are. My baby was adopted in July, and I get pictures and we write letters back and forth (her parent and I) The time of closed adoptions seems like the dark ages to me as I watch people like you search. Am I wrong in assuming yours was a closed adoption? I also had a few questions about how you feel about your birth mother. I am so scared my daughter will hate me for what I did. Hamilton, of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, called "Bellies. Knees and Ankles" The proceeds from the project are going to purchase adoption related books for the local library.... you can find more about this play at http://www.geocities.com/Athens/2921/adopt100.html perhaps others might like to work with the playwrite to do the same.... I get so frustrated with "closed records" and I wonder why??? records are withheld from adults. We live in America, for God's sake. Just a quick comment. I dont have very much information, my adoption was not legal. There are no papers in the county where I was born. My only hope is that my Bfamily is looking for me. Thank you for your post site. God watches over people like you Dave.

I was adopted at birth, but in the last year have been fortunate enought through the grace of God to locate both my bmother and bfather. I was welcomed with open arms by both of them and by their children. I was also able to locate 2 of my bsisters who were also put up for adoption. Just remember that God works in His time which is different from yours. Prayer and faith will keep you strong while you wait for Him.

Good luck in your search for your birth family. My mother is an adoptee who found her birth mother when she was 49 years old and everything turned our great. They are getting to know each other better and have become great friends. My mother is going to meet her 2 half sisters for the first time in a couple of weeks. My husband and I have a 2 year old adopted son who we love and adore more than life itself. We keep in contact with his birthmother thru the mail and send pictures during the year. When o r son is an adult and if he has the desire to look up his birth mother we will give him all the info we have. Again, good luck with your search.

Looking for two older 1/2 siblings born in San Antonio, Texas. Baunt believes them both to be female, though we are not sure. Birthdates are June, 1956 (don't know date), and May 23, 1958. We do know for sure that the child born in 1958 was born at the Santa Rosa Hospital and delivered by Dr. S. W. Allen. Good luck in your search.

Hi Dave! I was just browsing thru some of my cyber neighborhoods, and I had to sign your guestbook. God Bless you and help you as you endeavor to find your "roots". My mother, who died in 1985 from cancer, was an adopted child. She never knew anything about where she came from, and it haunted her for years. I have sometimes thought I'd like to look up her family, but I have no idea of where to begin, so I just never looked into it. My adopted daughter, however, knows all about her biological parents. I adopted her thru family and she is well aware of where she comes from and knows all about health conditions in her gene line. She is very content knowing about her biological parents, but she is extremely happy with the parents who chose to raise her.
