We live in Kerikeri, in the Bay of Islands, Northland, on the east coast of the upper North Island of New Zealand.
My nickname on IRC is hopa, which is short for grashopa.

Here is just a few of the things, I love to do in my spare time.

• Tramping - love tramping in the Ruahine and Tararua Ranges in the North Island.
• Camping - anywhere, so long as it is comfortable [grin]
• Abseiling - anywhere, anytime, so long as it is verticle
• Computers - love all aspects from rebuilding computers to IRC'ing, may be addicted ;)
• Movies - what can i say, love all action, adventure, especially science fiction
• Reading - love Anne MacCaffrey's Dragons of Pern, also what i find in isolated huts [grin]
• New Zealand Mountain Safety Council -
• Rock n Roll [loved the 60's] -
• Sailing - mostly lakes and estuarys, but dream of sailing round the world -
• Writing Poetry
