We do not deserve the gift of salvation. We were still sinners when Jesus died on the cross and took upon Himself the sins of the world, and we still are sinners. Everyone that has ever lived, except Jesus, has sinned. But, God loves us so much, that He gave His only begotten Son, Jesus, to enter into and die in this world of sin. We cannot earn salvation by our good works, for the Bible says that we are saved by grace.

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.

How Do I Receive This Free Gift?

Because Jesus Christ has already paid the price for our sins, all we have to do is confess Jesus Christ as Lord and believe that God raised Him from the dead. Are you ready to receive this free gift God has made possible for us? Do you believe in Jesus Christ? If you are sincere about this, and you are ready, say a prayer similar to the one below...

Dear God, I know that Jesus Christ is Your Son, and He died on the cross for my sins. I believe that You raised Him from the dead on the third day. Please forgive me of my sins, Lord. Please take control of my life. Renew me with Your love. I thank You so much for the gift of salvation that You have given me. In Jesus' name, amen.

Once you pray that prayer or one similar to it, you become born again. You have begun a new life. If you have become saved, please e-mail me so that we praise the Lord together.

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
- Romans 10:9

The Free Gift of Salvation

What is Salvation?

Salvation is the free gift of eternal life God has prepared for you and me through Jesus Christ. It is given to whoever will repent of their sins and confess Jesus Christ as Lord.

The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.
- Romans 6:23

Why would God Give Us This Gift?

We do not deserve the gift of salvation. We were still sinners when Jesus died on the cross and took upon Himself the sins of the world, and we still are sinners. Everyone that has ever lived, except Jesus, has sinned. But, God loves us so much, that He gave His only begotten Son, Jesus, to enter into and die in this world of sin. We cannot earn salvation by our good works, for the Bible says that we are saved by grace.

All have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.
- Romans 3:23

God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
- Romans 5:8

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
- John 3:16

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
- Ephesians 2:8-9
