Descendants of Fredric Pelfry GENTIT

SECOND GENERATION 2.Peter Frederick GENTIT was born in Sept. 1839 in France.
He died in Feb. 1919 in Stryker, Williams, Ohio.  
He was married to Marguerite MENEGAUX in Mar 1865 in Ne a
Bethoncourt France.  She was baptized and confirmed in the
Lutheran Church in France,well very young,remaining in the
faith until the end.
She was married to Peter Frederick Gentit in March 1865 and
sailed immediately for America,landing in May and shortly
afterwards they came to Ohio taking up their residence near
Stryker where they resided at the time of her death.Together 
with her husband she became a Charter member of the French
Lutheran Church of Stryker at the time of its organization
and continued faithful in its membership until its
dissolution in 1891. When the First English Lutheran Church
of Stryker was organized in 1911,she and her husband were
among its chartered members.  Marguerite MENEGAUX was born on
25 Jun 1839 in Presentevillers, France.  She died in Feb.
1920 in Stryker, Williams, Ohio.
Funeral services were held on a Tuesday,Feb 10,1920 in
English Church of Stryker,conducted by her former pastor,the
Rev Alvin E Bell of Toledo due to the illness of her pastor
the Rev.C.E.Sparks.

THIRD GENERATION 4.Ortence GENTIT was born on 11 Dec 1865 in Williams County
Ohio. She died on 18 Nov. 1939 in Stryker, Williams County
Ohio. She was a life long resident of Williams County.She was
73 years old at the time of her death after a long
illness.Funeral services were held at the Lutheran Church
with Rev. B.F.Hofer officiating.Interment was at the French
Cemetery.  

She was married to Alcide Emile BRUOT (son of Peter BRUOT and
Mary Ann(Marion) BROGINARD) on 3 Mar 1883 in Williams County
Ohio.  Marriage ceremony by Wm.Sheredan Jr.
Alcide Emile BRUOT was born on 10 Dec 1861 in Valentigney, France.
He came to America with his parents at age 6. They went first to Wisconsin for a few months before coming to Stryker.
He died on 15 May 1938 in Williams County Ohio.

of Fredric BESANCON and Catherince E) on 5 Oct. 1889 in
Williams County Ohio.  He was born a farm west of
Stryker.There he spent his childhood,attened the public
school and grew to manhood. As a child he was received into
the Evangelical Lutheran Church by the sacrament of Holy Baptism.

He survived two wives the first Emily Besancon died in
1904.They were married by Geo E Coy Justice of the Peace.
After 14 years he then married Sadie Smith after twelve years
of marriage she also died.
He was 70 years 11 months and 21 days at the time of his
death.  Emelia"Emily" Constance BESANCON was born on 27 Jul.
1867.  She died on 12 Aug. 1904 in Springfield twp, Williams,

was confirmed in the the Luthern Church.
She and her husband were married soon after the English Lutheran Church was established at Stryker.

elected as trustee in 1920 in Lutheran Church,Stryker,Ohio. 
He died on 9 Oct. 1951 in Stryker, Springfield twp, Williams,
Ohio.  He served in the military in France.

He was married to Eliza Marie GOLL (daughter of John George 
III GOLL and Catherine Margaret RENAU) on 28 Dec 1893 in
Springfield twp, Williams, Ohio.  Eliza Marie GOLL was born

She was married to Elery J ROTSELL on 10 Mar 1912 in Williams

horses taking to the road ditch which threw him from the
wagon box seat. Broke his neck.He is buried at Oakwood
cemetery,Stryker,Williams,Ohio.  
He was married to Alta Ann HARRIS (daughter of Edward HARRIS
and Harriett Ann MILLER) on 27 Jun 1914 in Stryker, Williams,
Ohio. Alta Ann HARRIS was born on 30 Jun 1893 in Stryker,
Williams, Ohio.  She died on 29 Apr 1988 in Stryker,
Williams, Ohio.  She worked for 13 years at the Ohio Art Co.
and was a member of the Faith United Methodist Church and a
former member of the Order of Eastern Star.
Funeral services was held in the Greenisen & Tilton Funeral
Home in Bryan,with the Rev Clarence Dinnen officiating.Burial
will follow in Stryker Cemetery.  She resided 433 Butler St

He was married to Nora AUGUSTINE (daughter of Daniel
AUGUSTINE and Phobe Ellen HARRIS) on 11 Nov. 1911 in Williams
County Ohio.   Nora AUGUSTINE was born on 29 Oct. 1893 in
Springfield twp, Williams, Ohio.  She died on 4 Sept. 1925 in

Edgerton , Williams, Ohio.  She was member of Stryker United
Methodist Church and the Untied Methodist Women and Stryker
Senior Citizens Club. She died at Park View Nursing Center in
Edgerton.Grisier Funeral home condusted the funeral service
with Rev Norman Beckwith officiating. Interment was in French
Cemetery Stryker Ohio. 
She was buried on 1 Jul. 1989 in French Cemetery,Williams
County,Ohio.  
She was married to Emerson HARRIS (son of Enos HARRIS and
Elizabeth BRAETHAUER) on 10 Oct. 1914 in Williams County
Ohio.  Emerson HARRIS was born on 10 Mar 1894 in Fulton
County Ohio.  He died on 19 Jan 1968 in Williams
County,General Hospital,Montpelier,Ohio.  He was a fireman
on the railroad.  He was also farmer.  He was a retired
employee of New York Central System. He was a member of the
Stryker Senior Citizens Club. He died at Williams County
General hospital ,Montpelier,where he had been a patient for
one week. The Rev Raymond Birthcer officiated at the final
rites and burial was at the French Cemetery. Grisier Funeral
Home conducted the funeral. He was 73 years old at the time
of his death.
