Mary (Marie) GIRARD, born in Canada about 1817. She married a David RYAN (or variation in spelling) in Canada. I do not know her Parents or what part of Canada she is from but know that she is listed on The 1850 Champlain, Clinton Co., New York Census living with her husband and children (the 1st of which was born in Vermont around 1837.) The GIRARD surname was also possibly called SANSCHAGRIN. A Philip GERARD was possibly a brother or nephew of Mary. I would greatly appreciate it if anyone knows of this family. Thank you. |

Of course I have just begun and have gotten only as far as Jean-Francois Renault-Sanschagrin who married Marie Anne Charbonneau on 9 Jan 17 8 in Contrecoeur. There daughter Marie Anne Renaud married Louis Richer-Lafleche 1 Sep 1794 in Contrecoeur. I need to find the time to look further into this line, but if someone has some information that can be of help it would be greatly appreciated. I have become addicted to this. | Comments: My Reno's fought in the American Rev. vs the Eng. They had moved from "Manicktown" Va. to Muhlenberg, Kentucky. My GGGGGrandmother is Francis Reno, who marries Strother Moses Hawkins in Palmyra, Missouri @1830. It is hard to indicate the dates without my otes., but I believe her father was "john" Reno. He immigrated to U.S. via Detroit around 1886, was married to a Rose DeHetre. The first paper I have on him is the 19 0 census which shows him as 52 and Rose as 49, I know she died in 1935, but I don't know what happened to Gilbert.
