Feb 10, 1800 DEED Father, William, divides household furniture and stock between 6 sons (Henry, Wm, Thomas, Starkey, Whitmell and Blount). Son, John, inherited land.
In distribution of Negroes, Henry received "Peter worth $220.00".

Brother Starkey's Will 1817 =Negroes are to go to siblings,(Thomas, Henry, James, Sarah) after widow, Elizabeth, died.

Henry sells his portion of inheritance (1/6 of 45 acres of land in Martin County) from Sister Sarah King - Jan 1819 to Luke Harrell.

Henry's children inherited from their Uncle Thomas' estate and sold to their Uncle John "1/5 of undivided 1/5". (see below)Court case 1849

Starkey S. Ruffin is still on Tax List as late as 1852 with 416 1/2 acres of land. In 1851 he has a gold watch, annual interest, and a pleasure carriage.

Henry Ruffin is the executor of will of Michel Bryant proved in Bertie County May Court 1794 (Will Bk d, p. 248). Michel Bryant is the father of Marthew (Martha) "Patsy" who is the second wife of Henry's father, William.
