  • Jan 1819 Moses Farmer, John Farmer, and Micah Sellers petitioned the Roane Co Tn court to view vacant lands in the vicinity of their iron works.
  • 9 Jul 1821 Jury duty.
  • 13 Apr 1829 Sarah Farmer was by the court appointed by the court guardian of the minor heirs of Moses Farmer, deceased, namely Lodenia Burton Farmer, Henry Farmer, and Sarah E Farmer and she thenceforth entered into bond with Michael Clardy, James Breden and Moses Roberts her securities as the law directs.
  • 16 Apr 1829 Sarah Farmer guardian of the minor heirs of Moses Farmer, dec, and who intends to file her petition for dower at the next term of this court moves the court to appoint some person as guardian of said minor heirs pending her suit for dower. Whereupon it is ordered by the court that Moses Roberts to be appointed guardian ------- of the aforesaid heirs.
  • 12 Apr 1830 Lazrus Moore was appointed guardian of Lodenia Farmer, Henry Farmer, and Sally E Farmer minor heirs of the estate of Moses Farmer, dec'd, who entered into bond with security as the law directs.

    Moses died before he could be found on any census records. No marriage records exit in our county before 1834 because of fires. The county was not divided into districts until 1836, so, tax records are of no help. If you have information on Moses Farmer or any of his family, please contact me.
