Fall Drive in the Ozarks - November 1999

Fall 1999 seemed to last for an extraordinairly long time. Plus, we had about 2 months of nearly unbroken, perfect weather. Which is completely out of the ordinary for Missouri in the fall! Consequently, even in early November we still had plenty of Autumn Colors around. Here's what we saw in the Ozarks on our drive.

Along Missouri 106

This picture was taken along Missouri Highway 106, east of Eminence, Missouri .

Tree at Round Spring State Park

This is a tree we spotted in Round Spring State Park. I though it was really beautiful and lyrical with all the twisings of branches and vines.

Tower Rock

This is Tower Rock in the Mississippi River, the primary part of Tower Rock Natural Area. We took this shot in October before the other pictures on this page were taken. It's quite impressive to see this structure jutting up in the River. Not an easy park to find, but worth the trip.
