Haylee

Haylee, Haylee
Come to me, on a
early Spring morn.
There in the garden as the petals
of the white rose-open to say hello
to the sweet sun-light.
You are my true delight,
I will read you stories of Peter Pan
and his honey too.
You will share my life and we will learn
of great wonders together.
I will learn from you, my dear
and you will learn from me.
Haylee, Haylee
Come to me and I will sing you a sleepy
lollaby and lovely colored rainbow notes
will fill the air there-and I will put pink and purple ribbons
in your hair.
We then will wish upon the first blue evening star,
and wonder how far!
And I will hold you ever so near to my heart and pray
that our souls may never part.
I loved you right from the start.
You my beautiful grand-daughter have pulled
the silver strings of my heart.

A poem created for Barbara (grandmother)
and Haylee (granddaughter)

James

"Whats in a name? That which we call a rose
By any other name would smell as sweet."
From Shakaespeare's Romeo and Juliet.
James The name of 5 persons in the Bible
here are some.
James"The Elder"
"One Of The Twelve" was martyred.
James "The Younger" was also an Apostle.
James "The Brother Of The Lord"
for his piety he was called James The Just.
James is a very wonderful name.

"James"
a white-rose bud of love, in winter's un-ripening breath.
Born in February after St. Valentine's day, a time when cupid's
arrows make haste
shooting young lovers, from place to place; a baby boy,
James is sent down to earth
falling from the stars above with gold and silver glitter in
his sweet smelling hair.
Come let us dance without a care, our hearts - light as the air
for we have been given a great and good gift, the gift of a son, a grandson the gift
of love.
I am sure he will
love The Lion King and adore
The Prince Of Egypt;
and even like baseball more
A baby boy to give his family untold joy.
Blue! Paint the room blue and pick out airplane toys too.
Buy him little golden books about the King Of King - baby Jesus
he will sing before he goes off into dreams.
Dreaming of ships out on the ocean: and storks
and seagulls and musketeers and dragons breathing yellow-red fire on
mountains; standing so tall.
And soon very soon, right before your eyes, James will grow up brave and true
and have sons and daugthers of his own
in his own home, the house that love built.

poet's note there is a line from "The Man In The Iron Mask" taken from the novel,
Where one musketeer is saying to another musketeer {after the lost of his only son
in war} "How can you know the lost of a son, if you have never held him in your
arms and smelled his sweet-breath in your face." If you have never had a son of
your own, how can you know my lost, my pain.
James indeed, James is a very wonderful name.
