Weed Researchers

   Pat is researching all of the descendants of Jonas WEED with a particular emphasis on Jonas's son John.

   Bill and Adella are researching and documenting the descendants of Lewis and Esther (STEBBINS) WEED of Rupert, VT and Oswego Co., NY.

   Rich is researching his direct WEED ancestors - Jonas1, Jonas2, Jonathan3, Josiah4, James5, James6, Ezra Fairchild7 WEED.

   Ida is interested in the descendants of Abraham WEED, Sr. and Susannah BELL (also her TALMADGE descendants) with a special emphasis on the descendants of Jehiel WEED, Sr. and Lydia HOYT. 

   Ida is also interested in the descendants of Thomas W. WEED (b. NY about 1843) and Mary MORRIS (b. NY about 1846).  Their eldest child was born in Iowa about 1869 and the rest in Nebreska (probably Lincoln Co.): Charles, James, Elizabeth, Cooper, Harvey, Stephen, Raymond, Burnette  (male).  They came to Colville Valley in Stevens Co., WA, in 1888. Thomas and Mary (MORRIS) WEED are both buried in Okanogan Co., WA.

   Esther is a descendant of, and researching, the family of Lewis WEED and Esther STEBBINS.

   The Jorgensons are researching Warren's direct WEED ancestors: Jonas(1), Jonas(2), Jonas(3), Charles(4), Jehiel(5), John(6), William(7), Selley(8), Silas(9), Nancy(10) m. Ernest Rifen, Bertha Rifen(11) m. G. Randolph Jorgenson, Warren(12) Jorgenson. 

   They are also interested in the RIFEN family in Germany (everyone in the United States with name "Rifen" is related.)

   Bettie Faye Weed Pacynski is searching for her roots.  She is a descendant of Andrew Weed b. abt. 1817, Daniel O. Weed b. abt. 1847, James Henry Weed b. 6-19-1004 and James Daniel Weed b. 5-10-1913 (father).

   Mark is a descendant of Joseph K. Weed, born 1809, died 1882 and is buried in Hyde Park, NY.

   Shari is researching the ancestors of Edson Weed (b. 20 Oct 1843, d. 27 Nov 1906) who married Verona R. Montgomery (b. 24 Dec 1840).

   Fred is a descendant of Patience Weed and Joseph Durant who were married 22 December 1762 at the Congregational Church in New Canaan, CT.

   Sharon is researching her husand's line: Jonas(1), Daniel(2), Abraham(3), Abraham(4), Peter(5), Zenus(6), Rufus(7), and Hattie(8) who married James Pike.  Rufus(7) was born in 1816 in Stamford, CT, married Charlotte Bowman in 1843, and moved wast to Wisconsin and Minnesota.  He died in 1891 in Rushford in Rushford, MN.

   Elizabeth is researching Elijah Weed, born 18 Aug 1782 in Ridgefield, Fairfield, CT, died 14 Oct 1862 in Kalamazoo Co., MI, son of Timothy and Sarah (Silsbee) Weed.  Elijah Weed married 26 Jun 1801 Polly St. John who died 18 May 1858 in Kalamzoo Co., MI.  Polly was the daughter of Abraham and Anna (Hoyt) St. John.  Children of Elijah and Polly were: Anna, Abraham, Sarah, Mary, Miranda and Elijah.

   Patsy is seeking information concerning Abner Weed, born about 1850, who founded the town of Weed, CA.  In addition, she is looking for information on the family of Frederick Ferdinand Weed, born October 28, 1838 in Illinois.

Charlene's line through her father is Charles, Glenn, Charles, Newton, John Jr., John Sr., Jehiel, Charles, Jonas, Jonas, Jonas.  She is an especially good contact as she lives in Oswego County, NY and close to the area of the early Weed pioneers of the towns of Richland, Sandy Creek and Ellisburg.

   Jane is searching the Weed family through Munson Weed, Munson's father  Jonas Weed (1760-1826), and Munson's grandparents Hezekiah and Ruth (Waterbury) Weed.

   Julie is interested in any information concerning Lydia Weed (1789-1818) and Rebecca Weed (1794-1854), sisters and the daughters of John Weed and Mary Townsend of Oswego County, NY.  Lydia and Rebecca married Isaac Price (1791-1872) and Ralph Price (1790-1874), brothers and sons of Rufus Price and Ruth Grant.

   Barbara is a 12th generation of those to carry the Weed name. Her line is: Jonas(1), Jonas(2), Jonathan(3), Josiah(4), Josiah(5), Linus(6), Daniel Corwin(7), Charles Nephy(8), Arthur Ray(9), Lonnie Leotice(10), and Leroy George(11).

   Denise is working on her husband's Weed ancestors, the earliest being Elijah Weed, born about 1769 according to the 1850 census for Camillus, Onondaga Co., NY and died 21 October 1853/4 in Jordan, NY.  His son Harry was born 20 January 1806 in NY, married Belinda Sprague and died 8 February 1887.

   Jill's father was George Weed and his father was William Weed who married Isabella Wright.  They all hail from Maine and Mass.

   Ruth is researching her husband's Weed ancestors:  Jonas 1597, John 1645, John 1672, Caleb m. 1742, Jesse 1746, Electa Weed Blakeslee 1788, Benjamin Blakeslee 1820, Joseph Benjamin Blakeslee 1856.  Joseph was Ruth's husband's grandfather.

   Mark is looking forinformation concerning  Henry Weed born ????,  married Betsey Stevens who was born February 21, 1794.

  William is researching the line: Jonas¹, Jonas ², Jonas ³, Jonas ⁴, Hezekiah ⁵, Jonas ⁶, Evelina ⁷.

  Leslie is interested in the family of Eliza Weed who married Samuel Maddocks about 1827 (son John was born 21 Mar 1828).  Eliza was the daughter of Daniel Weed and the granddaughter of James Weed.  Leslie believes that this Weed family was from Maine.
