I was born in Kandy , SRI LANKA and I was brought up in Colombo -The capital of SRI LANKA until I was 18 years of age.

I attended Ananda College, one of the biggest Buddhist colleges in the country, and I studied science subjects as my parents wanted me to be a Doctor one day.

When I was young I used to be a quiet, shy, timid boy but I loved sports. I was crazy over cricket and I used to play backyard cricket every weekend with my neighbors sons.

I played Hockey for the college and clubs and did not have any luck with cricket as my father thought it would interfere with my studies.

My mother loved music and she encouraged me and my sisters to play the Piano.

Did you know that I was the one and only boy in that Piano class? I learnt Trinity College of Music and Royal College of Music , both theory and practicals, and stopped.

I passed my S.S.C. and completed H.S.C. and joined my elder

sister in West Yorkshire, ENGLAND.
