We migrated to AUSTRALIA on the 8th of August 1987 and got our citizenship in December 1989.

What a beautiful country it is ! (as beautiful as SRI LANKA). Friendly people, BBQs, Picnics, Beaches, the Sun, the Surf, the Reef, Shopping, the Beer, the Dole, Credit Cards, Home Loans and Interest Rates and Pauline Hanson!!! :-) .....Love..... it!

I never forget when I was offered my First job with the Hilton Hotel in cairns, we bought a 2nd hand DATSUN 120Y and drove from Sydney to Cairns in 2 1/2 days (approx. 2800 km). I didn't even know the roads or didn't even have a spare wheel in the car.

I will never forget the day I dropped a heavy metal dance floor at the Hilton Hotel before their Grand Opening day, on my right foot and ended up with fractured toes and in the hospital I was in severe pain for months, but I recovered.

My second child, a little princess called ANUSHKA KUMARI was born in Cairns on 1st August 1989.

I worked with international Hotel Chains like The Hilton, Radisson in Cairns, Sydney, Brisbane working in various capacities in the Food & Beverage Department and eventually I ended up working for The NOVOTEL TWIN WATERS RESORT on the SUNSHINE COAST, QUEENSLAND.

We were living in Cairns (3 1/2Yrs), Sydney (1Yr), Brisbane (1Yr) and The Sunshine Coast for almost 5 years.

We bought our first home in Warana, Sunshine Coast in 1993.

THE GREATEST THRILL IN MY LIFE WAS TAKING PART IN "TULLY RIVER WHITE WATER RAFTING" IN INNISFAIL, FAR NORTH QUEENSLAND IN 1988.
