MY FATHER:

PROF. HEMA ELLAWALA, former Vice-Chancellor of the University of Sri Jayawardenapura, Sri Lanka and the Dean of the faculty of Arts and he is a Professor of History & Sociology specialized in African Studies and he was also involved with a few Political Parties in Sri Lanka. He was born in Ratnapura "The Gem City"of the country.

MY MOTHER:

LEELA ELLAWALA (maiden name Herath), was born in Kandy, Sri Lanka. She always encouraged me to play the piano and she is not only my mum but a good friend, too. I love her dearly. She is always full of fun and laughter and we always like to gossip.

MY PARENTS MIGRATED TO AUSTRALIA IN 1977 AND ARE LIVING IN SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA EVER SINCE AND I HAVE TWO SISTERS, ONE YOUNGER AND ONE OLDER.
