Papertraining
Hopefully your puppy was papertrained by the time
it was ready to go home. If not then you need to papertrain
your puppy.
The best way to start papertraining is to
purchase a mesh baby playpen. You need
to put paper all in the bottom first and line the bottom
with several layers of paper. This keeps the bottom dry
and absorbent.
You put in the playpen
puppys' bed, toys, and a crock dish of water.
This is
where puppy stays just like a baby. When you are busy
and need to devote your attention to other matters of
life you put puppy in playpen for naps. This is the best
way to keep your pup safe and sound.
Treat your puppy like
it was a newborn baby!!
Their little immune systems aren't
developed yet and they don't need exposed to anything. Unattended babies
can get into mischief if left all alone. This
is the reason I like the playpen is because if its 30 below
outside puppy can use the paper in the nice warm house.
The best place to put paper and get puppy used to going
is when you visit the bathroom have a little spot for some
newspaper. You can also use peepee pads that you purchase
at the pet store. You should also have someplace close to
where you spend a lot of your time.
Yorkies are
really smart and pick up on things quick! They are too
smart sometimes and I have had a lot of yorkies that I
spelled around.
