Siberian Husky Memorial

This page is dedicated to all Siberian Huskies, who filled our lives with happiness and laughter. Although they've all gone on to Rainbow Bridge, they've left their mark on this world, and this page is here to salute them!

If you have a special husky that you want to honor, send me a picture along with a message you'd like placed with the picture. I will add an etched marker, like the ones seen on this page, for every Siberian that is represented. For the marker, I will need the dogs name as well as date of birth and date that he or she crossed over the bridge.

Each picture will be linked to the family webpage if one is available, if there is no picture available, then the marker itself will serve as the link. If there is no homepage, a link will be provided to the families e-mail address if they would like.

Shasta Shasta was my 1st Siberian Husky. He taught me all about the intelligence of the Siberian Husky breed, he also showed me the mischievous side of this wonderful canine companion. Because of what I learned from Shasta in his much too short lifetime, I know that as long as I live I will have a Siberian Husky as part of my family!

Gerick's Kodiak Diamond was taken from us July 7, 1996, at the young age of 5. We have no idea why he died, he just died. The autopsy was inconclusive. He died in our arms as we tried to give CPR and mouth-to-mouth. This was a major tragedy for us, from which we have still not recovered. Kodi lived every day with great joy, and both his human family and his brother still mourn him. Gerick's Kodiak Diamond

Samantha Samantha was my baby girl born May 6, 1988. She passed away May 11, 1998. Samantha brought more joy to my life than anything or anyone ever has or ever will. She was my soulmate who taught me the true definition of unconditional love. One day we will meet up again at the Rainbow Bridge but until then my sweet baby girl know your mommy loves you dearly.

Nakito Waya Diganeli Niko, was my first Siberian. I didnt realize how smart they actually were until I owned one. Niko was a special boy, he was sick from the moment we got him, but didn't have the heart to give him back. We stuck with him until the end, and I know he waits for us at the Rainbow Bridge.

Alex was our first Husky, and she turned out to be one of the biggest parts of our life. We will never be able to forget the way she "talked" to us when she was happy, sad, or even mad. She had her own unique personality that set her apart from any other dog I have ever known, and that's what made her so special. We were lucky enough to be able to keep one of Alex's puppy's from her first litter, and hopefully this young male will touch our lives the way that our beloved Alex did.

May she rest in peace. We love you Alex.

Keno was born on 11-23-97, and went to the Bridge on 10-29-98, from complications of epilepsy. Keno was bonded so tightly with my daughter Jaime, they were truly one soul in two bodies. Keno's all too short life brought much joy and pain into our hearts; but we will always remember the joy. Guard your girl well from above for all of her life; her tears (and mine) still flow with missing you.

Shadow Shadow was our first Siberian. We got him as an abused and neglected one year old, hard to believe someone could do such things to a puppy! It took us months of patience, love and understanding to get past the fear that was instilled in him, but he ended up being the BEST friend we ever had - loving, kind, funny, playful and very intelligent. Unfortunately, like the first year of his life, the last six months were hard on him too, suffering from clusters (seizures) that resulted in permanent, irreversible damage, so we had to lay Shadow to rest...

Because of Shadow and everything he has given us-love, fun, humor, kindness and loyalty, we went out to get two more - female Husky littermates.

In loving memory of Shadow... (Traxler's Kall of the Wildone) July 17, 1990 - May 30, 1997

May your spirit always run through our fields and your love in our hearts

Love you, miss you, never forget you -Mommy and Daddy -Susan and Daniel Tank (owners)

Heidi was adopted from the Mat-Su Valley Humane Society animal shelter in March 1986. Someone had abandoned her and her litter in a dump during the dead of winter (Feb), where temperatures hovered around -15 F. She died, Feb 6, 1999 due to cancer of the mammary gland - which had spread to her lungs. Additionally, she had severe Hip Diplasia, with arthritis in her spine. Her last year was in constant pain. Her loss has been devastating to me, as she was a long-time, loyal and loving companion. Although, her death was hard to accept, I'm relieved that she died in HER HOME, and that it happened -- not by her owner's intervention; she died naturally -- as she had entered this world. She died in Eagle River, Alaska.

Buddy
Buddy, AKA Louigi
CGC, Therapy Dog International
born 11/26/92 - passed on 03/21/99
Buddy was 6 years old when he went to the Rainbow Bridge; he lived with epilepsy for almost 2 years and finally he lost the fight due to complications from phenobarbitol toxicity, which he was taking to control his seizures. Buddy loved the snow, the Boston Marathon, long walks, pigs ears, and playing with the other sibes. Buddy will be greatly missed by all those who he touched in his short life. We all miss him terribly. Patty, Helen and Frankie and the 4 Siberians who miss him

This is Rocky Royale he was my Best Friend. Born: May 29, 1984, Died: March 1, 1999 He was my first Husky, in fact he was my first dog period. I miss him so much. He died so suddenly, when I put him out that morning he was fine, but when I was leaving for work a few hours later he was in dire straits. I rushed him to the vet who said it was cancer and he was bleeding internally and going into shock. The vet recommended Rocky be put to sleep. I want so much to go the Rainbow Bridge to be with him.
