Stephen Hiatt removed in 1797 from Guilford Co to Surry Co NC soon settling in Grayson Co VA., where he remained until 1815, when he took his family back to Surry Co NC; in 1822 they removed to Wayne Co,. IN and by 1830 were living in Randolph Co IN, in the 1830's finally settled in Hamilton Co IN.
