Bartlett Community Guide

Community Overview

Bartlett is a town of around 20,000 30 miles west of downtown Chicago, and has portions of the community located in three different counties (DuPage, Kane and Cook). The area has experienced growth and construction of new subdivisions. New schools and additions to existing ones have been built to accommodate increasing enrollment. Virtually all school children that go to public school attend Elgin schools (district U-46).

Transportation needs are served by area highways ((Eisenhower Expwy. - I-290, Tri-State (I-294), North/South Tollway (I-355), East-West Tollway (I-88)) and major local roads (Rte. 38 - Roosevelt Rd., Routes 64, 56, 53, and 83). Commuter service to downtown is provided by Metra on the Milwaukee District West (MD-W) line. Express travel time to downtown Chicago is about 45 minutes. Local bus service is available from PACE.
