Carpentersville Community Guide

Community Overview

Carpentersville is a village of about 24,000 42 miles northwest of downtown Chicago. Major development (residential, industrial and commercial) in the area is concentrated along Randall Road Districts 220 and 300 serve all of the area's schoolchildren. (See below for details on schools).

Transportation needs are served by area highways (I-90), and major local roads (Northwest Highway, Randall Road). Commuter service to downtown is provided by the Metra Milwaukee West Line (MD-W) in Elgin. Travel time to the downtown Chicago station is about 75 minutes. The RTA Travel Info.
