Clarendon Hills Community Guide

Community Overview

Clarendon Hills is a town of about 7,000 19 miles from downtown Chicago. Recreational opportunities include the programs of the Clarendon Park District. Most grade school-aged children attend district 181 schools and secondary students go to Hinsdale Central High in district 86. Residents in portions of the unincorporated sections of Clarendon Hills attend Gower School District 62 schools. (See below for details on schools).

Transportation needs are served by area highways ((Eisenhower Expwy. - I-290, Tri-State (I-294), North/South Tollway (I-355), East-West Tollway (I-88)) and major local roads (Rte 83., 75th. St., Cass Ave.). Commuter service to downtown is provided by Metra on the Burlington Northern (BN) line. Local bus service is available from PACE. The RTA Travel Info. Number is 1-800-972-7000.
