Hodgkins Community Guide

Community Overview

Hodgkins is a village of about 2,000 18 miles southwest of downtown Chicago. Recreational opportunities include the Park District's programs. Grade-school-aged children attend Hodgkins School, district 105. Secondary students go to Argo Community High School, district 217.(See below for details on schools).

Transportation needs are served by area highways (I-55/Stevenson Expwy., I-290/Eisenhower Expwy.), and major local roads (U.S. 45/Mannheim Rd., 55th. St.). Commuter service to downtown is provided by the Burlington Northern Line (BN). Travel time to the downtown Chicago station is about 22 minutes. Local bus service is available from PACE.
