Hoffman Estates is a village of about 45,000 29 miles northwest of downtown Chicago. The village is the new location of Sears' Headquarters. Hoffman Estates has an active Park District Program. Grade school-aged children attend District 54 or 15 schools, then go on to high school in either District 211 (Conant or Hoffman Estates High Schools in Hoffman Estates) or 220 (Barrington High School). *See below for details on schools.

Transportation needs are served by area highways (I-90), and major local roads (I-59, Higgins Rd., I-72).
