Justice Community Guide

Community Overview

Justice is a village of about 11,000 18 miles southwest of downtown Chicago. Originally a farming community, it is primarily residential and offers a variety of recreational opportunities for all ages through Park District programs and for children through the Justice Youth Commission (which also offers day care and after-school programs). Grade school-aged children attend Indian Spring District 109 schools, while secondary students attend Argo Community High School, district 217. (See below for details on schools).

Transportation needs are served by area highways (I-55-Stevenson Expwy. & I-294-Tri-State Tollway). Commuter service to downtown is provided by the Metra/Heritage Corridor trains. Travel time to the downtown Chicago station is about 32 minutes. Local bus service is available from PACE. Senior citizens and disabled individuals can use PACE for round-trip service to points within the village, and Lyons township senior residents are offered a similar service with one-day advance reservation. The RTA Travel Info. Number is 1-800-972-7000.
