Midlothian Community Guide

Community Overview

Midlothian is a village of about 15,000 21 miles south of downtown Chicago. Recreational opportunities include the programs of the park district and public library. Grade school-aged children attend district 142 or 143 schools. Secondary students go to district 228, which includes Bremen High School in Midlothian. (See below for details on schools).

Transportation needs are served by area highways (I-294/Tri-State Tollway, I-57, I-80), and major local roads (Rt. 50 - Cicero Ave., Rt. 83). Commuter service to downtown is provided by Metra in Blue Island, and Midlothian. Travel time to the downtown Chicago station is about 40 minutes. Local bus service is available from PACE.
