Olympia Fields Community Guide

Community Overview

Olympia Fields is a primarily residential village of about 8500 25 miles south of downtown Chicago. Recreational opportunities include the programs of the Park District; Olympia Fields Country Club, which features a Golf Course; and Forest Preserves. Grade school-aged children attend schools in districts 161 or 162, while secondary students are served by districts 227 or 233. (See below for details on schools).

Transportation needs are served by area highways (I-294/Tri-State Tollway, I-57), and major local roads (Governors Hwy., Western Ave., Lincoln Hwy., Crawford Ave.). Commuter service to downtown is provided by the Metra Electric Line (ME). Travel time to the downtown Chicago station is about 42 minutes (express). Local bus service is available from PACE.
