Wadsworth Community Guide

Community Overview

Wadsworth is a village near Zion, about 45 miles north of downtown Chicago. Recreational opportunities include the programs of the Zion or Gurnee Park Districts, and Illinois Beach State Park and North Point Marina, both on Lake Michigan's shores. Grade school-aged children attend Millburn School, district 24, while Secondary students go to Zion-Benton Township High School, district 126. (See below for details on schools).

Transportation needs are served by area highways (I-94) a few miles west, and major local roads (I-173/Rosecrans Rd., I-137/Sheridan Rd.). Commuter service to downtown is provided by Metra.
