Wildwood Community Guide

Community Overview

Wildwood is an unincorporated area near Grayslake 45 miles northwest of downtown Chicago. Recreational opportunities include the programs and facilities of the Wildwood Park District, including Gages Lake for fishing. Children attend school in nearby communities, including Grayslake. *See below for details on schools.

Transportation needs are served by area highways (I-94//Tri-State Tollway, I-290/Eisenhower Expwy.),and major local roads (I-120/Belvidere Rd, I-45/Lake St.). Commuter service to downtown is provided by the Metra Milwaukee District North Line (MD-N) in Grayslake. Travel time to the downtown Chicago station is about 70-90 minutes.
