Willow Springs Community Guide

Community Overview

Willow Springs is a village of about 4,500 20 miles southwest of downtown Chicago. Recreational opportunities for residents include the facilities of the 20,000 acres of Cook County Forest Preserves, which border the town on two sides, and the programs of the Pleasantdale and Justice Park Districts.Grade school-aged children attend schools in district 107 and 108, while secondary students go to Argo High School, district 217, or Lyons Township High, district 204. *See below for details on schools.

Transportation needs are served by area highways (I-294, Tri-State Tollway; I-55, Stevenson Expwy.), and major local roads (U.S. 45, I-171). Commuter service to downtown is provided by the Metra's Heritage Corridor Line (HC). Travel time to the downtown Chicago station is about 35 minutes (express).
