Liza was born in Kentucky and lived in Ripley Co.,Mo. Her husband died in 1905. They had Will, John Alfred, Emil, Ed,Joe,My dad Henry Cleburne, and daughters Mary and Nellie. Judith Odom marr. 26 March 1784 in Gates Co.,NC to Jospeh Dilday....unsure of parents for both suspect Joseph was s/o Henry Dilday and Honner Crawford of Gates Co. and suspect Judith was d/o Abraham. Judith and Joseph had children Seth b.1785, Penny, Eno b.1788, Anny, Levina, and Jesse. NC deeds and wills have Dildays and Odoms paired together as witnesses for each other...suspect they were neighbors. Also they followed same migration pattern to SC>GA> points west. Also suspect that Dildatha Odom was n med after family friends and relative Dilday. No proof, just theory.

Hi! I came here searching for information on the OLDHAM family. I know little of my ancestors. They came from somewhere in England, arriving in the US in the mid-nineteenth century. They settled at some point in Van Wert County in Ohio and then came to Tro where I live. The oldest names are Thomas and Polly (Blackmore) OLDHAM and then their son, Standley and his wife Abbaigail. Their children included Charles, who was my great-grandfather. Then came his son, Chester (who had a twin Marion) who was my gr ndfather. Thanks for the great site. I will be back. Marla

I have some information on ODOM / CRISP / KOONCE / JARMAN and my later connection tie in of these lines with WEBB, mainly in Henderson County, Tennessee - some in Texas. I discovered the CRISP homepage yesterday and was very excited at the information it contained. I could not get the Guest Book page to come up there so I am glad to be able to make a comment here. I want to say thank you to all for maintaining such a wonderful service. If any researcher is interested in the above names, I will gladly share what I have. The only line that is extensive is the WEBB. I have good information on the KOONCE from other Website researchers and work done by Alice KOONCE in 1983-85. The CRISP a d ODOM lines will be mainly what I have on my family, as I am sure the earlier ancestors are well covered herein - and I cannot add much at this time on these older lines. My ancester Abraham Odam, his descendants spell it Odom was from NC his son Joshua Odom served in the Revolution and Selah Pollard of Cheraw Dist SC Joshua had 3 brothers and three sisters, he also had 6 children, his daughter Nancy Odom married James Goodson of Cheraw Dist. to me it's : Nancy Odom maried James Goodson thier son Joshua Goodson, his son Thomas Goodson, his daughter Mary Goodson married William Edwards, their dau. Mary Edwards married Bob Blaton their dau. Nora Margaret blaton married Ervin Jeffords, his son David Jimmy, his daughter Nora Katherine Jeffords married Edward L. Pope Sr. I am their son, Edward Louis Pope Jr. It's eight generations away, but it's all proved and right!!! I am an Odom descendant as well as many others... Incidentally I have a set of first cousins, my dads sister married Julian Clarance Odom (Bill) from Darlington (Old Cheraw) and they are from the same line so they are kin to me on both side or vise versa....

I am looking for help on my Odom line. I have not worked on my lines for along time because I had come to a stand still of sorts amd got disgusted in all my efforts not paying off. Any help would certainly be appreciated. My mother was formerly Annie M. Odom, daughter of Leonard Odom (12/24/85) and Minnie Parker Odom (01/12/89). My grandfather was from Pearl River County, MS. His dad was Freeman Odom (b.1848/d. 1913) who married Mary Spiers (b.1858/d. 1944). I have reason to believe that his parents we e possibly Samuel Odom and Christina ? Odom but I am not for sure. I am a direct descendent of Washington Lafayette Odom who married Mary Louisa Jane Fair on June 17, 1888 in Union County GA. She died on June 10, 1944 in Bradley County Tennessee and is buried in Fort Hill Cemetery in Cleveland, TN. Several of the desce dents still live in Union County, GA very near the Methodist Church where the Young Cane Cemetery is located. Several Odom's are buried there including John Jackson Odom and his wife Mary Ann Harriett Sullivan that were moved to the cemetery before on th the lakes was backed up over the original cemetery where they were laid to rest. I would love to hear from anyone to share the information I have with you and to hopefully fill in some holes in my efforts to "reach" into the past a little further. My grandmother, Fannie Mae Odom(s)was born around 1923 in Georgia. She is the daughter of John Dan and Fannie Elizabeth Collins Odom(s). Fannie Elizabeth died when my grandmother was an infant. John later remarried and had a son, Lemuel with his new wife I believe her name was Carrie). John died when my grandmother was about 11 or 12 years old (c. 1933). Fannie and her siblings were split up and Fannie later ended up in Pennsylvania. Although she kept in touch with her full brothers and sisters, all of whom are deceased, she has not seen or heard from her half brother Lemuel since her father died. I have nothing on my Great Grandfather, George Everett Odom. He had a brother name David Alexander Odom. They both married sisters, My Great Grandmother Nancy Luiza Tomerlin and her sister Margaret (Maggie) Tomerlin from Pulaski, Giles Co., Tenn. I've be n told that George's father was an Indian Agent and he married George's mother a Cherokee Indian and her name was Ghigau Foster. I'm not sure on the spelling and his father may have had the last name spelling of Oldham. George said he was born in the Ind an Territory. And that's all I know of this family. I just received my GGrandfather's death certificate and no useful information on it.

Hi, I was introduced to this page by my brother, Paul Odom. My dad, Eligah Odom, was born in Century, FL, where there are LOTS of Odoms. My cousin started a family tree a few years ago, and found out that dad's people came here from the Carolina's. I thin my grandfather's name was William Calvin, also known as Bud. He was married 3 times, with a total of 27 children. I know that sounds a bit much, but I well remember my dad telling that. He was the baby, born in 1906. I only remember one sister, name of L zzy. Probably short for Elizabeth.
