God's name "I Am" -- not "I Do". I think that is the key to meditation for me, to allow myself to BE in God's presence, without any agenda or list of requests for strength to overcome, etc. This is where love grows. I wish I had a place of quiet retreat, and I think it is awesome that you offer one to people in your area. Bless you.

as i came upon your website i was stunned. The words of mark 6:31 are almost identical to the words i remember an angel saying to me on oct 12 , 1997 ....you see , i died for a while on the operating table during heart surgery, and an angel came and took e by the arm and led me away , he used these same words....

Favorite Place to Listen to God: Because God is Light, and His word is living water to me, I love to listen to Him in the early morning sunrises, and silly as it sounds, in my ev ning shower as the stresses of the day get washed away

Susan and Dean, Your quiet place of rest and restoration was a God-send to me, an answer to prayers filled with pain and agony. In the light and love of your peaceful ranch, I was held in His arms and I heard the gentle whispers that wooed me back into H s truths. Some convicted me, some stirred mixed emotions...but all were pure love. All of God's words said He would do it all again, just for me. I found a fresh start in the woods of Still Waters. Our God is a God of forgiveness and enlightenment, and of new beginnings. Oh how I praise Him, and thank you for allowing Him to work through you! I shall never forget the song that touched me so at our little church service..."In my life, Lord, Be glorified, be glorified..." Its difficult to LISTEN, but God shouts in the beautiful sunsets viewed from our pasture hilltop. Susan, wanted to thank you for the neat website. Where exactly do you live? We live SE of Springfield about 40 miles...equidistant from Branson on a small acreage. We don't have a big a spread as you, but we love it and keep busy with alot of the same act vities as you...feeding livestock, gardening, writing...We have a little filly w/o any teeth and we have to fix her special meals. I am thankful for your links which help me with my writing. I don't participate on KW much. It takes most of my energy to wr te, help out here and enjoy my grandkids...a new baby boy arrived Jan 7. also my 84yr old mom requires some attention...and you know how those husbands are...they like you to help haul hay, fix fence,etc. I love being in the outdoors...some days its a bat le to stay in at the computer writing. I write about parallel characters to Biblical and usually in the Ozark settings. I'm excited about my new novel, cuz I believe its an assignment the Lord gave me. My novel is based on Esther, but about a young woman who was involved in cults and anorexic, but the Lord helped her conquer both...now she's gotten her life back together, romance is coming....more but won't bore you with that. Anyhow are you getting all this rain. So far we can still get out. But if it sn w and gets icy we won't be able to get up the hill out. But we don't really care as we have plenty to do and the Lord has provided wood to keep us warm. Enuff from me. God bless you in your wonderful work here. In His Grace & Love, Pam K.
