My Ain Folk: A History of My Family
The following family histories have been compiled from various published and unpublished sources, as well as from primary source records and interviews with family members when available. These records are by no means to be considered a complete family history and in some cases family members might not be shown due to either a direct request to be omitted from the record or due to them being the ONLY KNOWN children of a particular family.
I believe the following histories to be very accurate, however there could possibly be mistakes due to erroneous information received from family members or contained in official documents. It is a well-known fact that mistakes can be found even in official legal documents such as birth, death, and marriage certificates. Often the information presented in those certificates was only as good as the informant could recollect about the person, or as good as the honesty of the person presenting the information (ex. many folks lied about their ages in order to get married). If you question a date, place, or name, please contact me for further information on sources. I will gladly offer assistance if I can.
