It is an abstract of the will of George Towery Ledford; Macon county Wills, book 1, page 66

"I George Ledford of Macon county N Carolina being about seventy years of age...

...my three living children and my deceased son Curtis Ledford..." He then names his three living children: John H. Ledford, Hiram Ledford, Elizabeth Ledford and her husband William F. Pasmore [sic]; He names Curtis' wife as Cassa, then Curtis and Cassa's children: Alison, Mary, Andrew, H, Curtis, Fetcher, Cassa, Emily and Thomas "They being in the state of Georgia and not well known to me." [explains why couple are missing.] dated 16 Sep 1844. Someone named Ann added a note to it on 21 Mar 1850, then it was proved in 1857.
