I was in the hospital on pitocin for three long hard painful days. The DRs did everything but break my water to try to get her to come out!! No such luck; at this point, I'd already had a epidural, and was pissed off to no end. I was 4cm and not progressing, so I made my OB turn every thing off and I went home to rest and let her come on her own.
I went to 2 more OB appts and had finally had enough. I had been in labor this whole time and was walking around 4cm dilated. I told my OB that if this baby weighed 10 lbs like my last one, I'd kill him! So we agreed to break my water and get things going. I went home, got a sitter for my boys and headed to the hospital. They broke my water at 7pm on October 7, 1998, and by 10:30pm, I was 10cm and ready to go...but no Doctor in sight. He had decided to go to dinner...how nice of him!!! Anyways, by 11pm I couldnt wait any longer, and I told the nurse she better catch my baby!!
At 11:11pm, after two pushes, my Jillien Frances Hornsby was born, weighing 9lbs 1oz and measuring 19inches long. She had a full head of red hair and was beautiful!!! She never left my sight after that-they even weighed and bathed her in my room. It was the best present I ever recieved, after my two boys.
