| Well, like I was telling you, I was a stray puppy wondering the streets. I don't remember where I came from, but I was trying to cross a busy street and a car almost hit me! I was very scared, and some people pulled over, along with another lady. The lady got out of her car and ran over to me. When I saw her, I ran toward her too! She looked like a nice lady! The other people drove away, and that left me and the lady. Since I didn't have any collar or id tags, she didn't know where I belonged. By the way, never leave home without your id! She picked me up and took me to her car. That's where I met Kayla & Kody. They sure were noisy! I don't think they liked me very much! They barked and growled alot, but the nice lady told them to quite down, and they finally did. I met the lady's husband that night, and he was a real nice man! This seemed to be a nice place to hang out for a while. But after weeks of putting up flyers and notices, and ads in the paper, no one called about me. I was a little sad, and a little scared, but the lady and man fussed over me alot, gave me lots of hugs and kisses, it didn't seem so bad here! So I decided these people would be my new mommy and daddy! |
| Mommy decided I should get cleaned up a bit, so she took me to a really nice lady named Judy who owns Pretty Pets, a place where doggies get a bath, a hair cut, and royal treatment. Judy said I was really good! Then the next day, it was off do the doctor's office! Dr. Hawe of the Alexandria Animal Hospital checked me out, and said I was in great shape, and very sweet. He praised mommy for taking me in, and she said she didn't have the heart to take me to the shelter. Wheeew! Good thing! |
| Mommy decided I needed a name. Daddy tried all kinds of names to see if I could remember my first name, but it was no use. I kind of answered to everything, and then sometimes to nothing at all. They thought about a couple of names, and mommy decided I looked like a Bailey. So that's it, my new name is Bailey. Sometimes mommy calls me Bailey, or Bay-Bay, or Bay-Bear. She gives everyone nicknames, even daddy! Daddy likes to play with us, he is lots of fun. This is a great place to live. I hope they let me stay here forever! |
