Trinity Lutheran
Church in Blackwell, Oklahoma was organized
on March 5, 1925. The first pastor, Rev.
Carl Matthies, was installed in August,
1926. The first church , located at
McKinley and D Streets was dedicated on November
13, 1927.
On May 25, 1955, a tornado
destroyed the church , and the current
worship structure at 125 Vinnedge was
dedicated on December 16, 1956.
Nine pastors have
served the church. Rev. Steven Stoll is the current minister.
The church has a
membership of 301 . The average
Sunday worship attendance is 85 .
The preschool program serves
children aged three and four.
