SECTION 1:
The organization is formed for the purpose of uniting in a central organization
all members of
qualified bowling teams, leagues, and affiliate individuals bowling
in certified establishments located in the
following cities whaich are within the area prescribed in Article
4 , Items H and I of the ABC Constitution.
Marietta Mableton Douglasville Canton Woodstock Dallas
and counties of:
Douglas
Cobb
Cherokee
SECTION 2:
Life membership in this association shall be voted on by the Council of
Delegates. Only those
Officers and Directors who have attained 15 membership points may
be submitted for Life Membership. These
points may be attained by:
1. One for each year of service on the Board of
Directos.
2. One additional point for serving as President,
Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, or Assistant
Secretary, Center Coordinator, State Director, or State YABA Delegate.
These points to be retroative. Any individual granted such life membership
in the Association as provided in
Article 10 of the local Association Constitution shall be entitled
to vote at meetings of the Board of Directors
and Council of Delegates. ABC and local Association dues will be
paid for all active Life Members by the
Association. Local Association dues will be paid for all inactive
Life Members by the Association. Voting rights
are continued providing they remain active status. Active status
consists of not missing more than two unexcused
meetings or assignments during the year, 1 April through 31 March.
If they become inactive they may petition
the Board of Directors for reinstatement.
Board of Directors
SECTION 3:
The Board of Directors of the Association shall consist of a President,
four (4) Vice-Presidents,
Secretary, Assistant Secretary/Historian/Tournament Director, Treasurer,
Forty (40) Directors, and the Past-
President ( for two years immidately following their leaving office
).
SECTION 4: The election of Officers and Directors shall be held at the Council of Delegates Annual meeting.

on the Board of Directors.
E. Directors or Officers
missing two unexcused meetings or special event assignments during the
year from
1 April through 31 March
shall be just cause for review by the Board of Directors for possible removal
from office in accordance
with Article 6, item M of the ABC Constitution.
Standing Committees
SECTION 5:
The delegates to the ABC convention and Georgia State Board of Directors
meetings shall be
appointed by the President, subject to the Board of Directors approval.
The following standing committees shall
be appointed by the President upon assuming office.
1. Bylaws Committee
2. Election/Nominating Committee
3. Awards Committee
4. House Representatives from each center
5. Audit/Budget Committee
6. Bowler of the Year Committee
7. Tournament Committee
8. Joint Inspection Committee.
Average Reocrd
SECTION 6:
The Association shall publish an annual average book with the names listed
alphabetically. The
Association will accept written bids in April for publication by
September 1st of each year. The Association
average book will be available to all establishments. The Budget
Committee will select the best bid for the
contract which must be in writing. Summer Leagues which have not
bowled 10 weeks of their schedule as of the date set by the Association
for submitting averages shall submit averages at the end of the league`s
season,
which shall be maintained by the Association Secretary for use in
average verification.
Annual Meeting
SECTION 7:
The annual Association meeting shall be held in March. The date shall be
set 60 days prior to
the meeting by the Association President.
SECTION 8: This Association shall operate under the following membership plan:

If a bowler is sanctionad in another Association they are required
to pay Chattahoochee Bowing Association local
dues.
SECTION 9: Delegates to the State meeting or meetings approved by Board of Directors shall recieve expense money of $50.00 per night, two nights maximum, plus $ .25 per mile for travel using Atlanta as point of departure and return. Expense money reimbursed not to exceed $150.00.
PRESIDENT EXPENSE FUND:
A petty cash fund of $50.00 to be given to the President to be used for
and
accounted for by receipt when involved with Association business,
when serving in an official capacity. When
funds are exhausted, money may be reimbursed from the general fund
by approval of the Board of Directors,
not to exceed $250.00 per year.
League Delegates
SECTION 10:
Each ABC league shall have one member designated as the league delegate
to the Association. This delegate will have one vote at the Annual meeting
or at such other meetings as a Council of Delegates is
required. Each explaining their duties. Each delegate will be notified
in writing of a meeting of the Council of Delegates.
Chattahoochee Bowling Association Championship Tournament
SECTION 11: The Board
of Directors shall be responsible for conduction or the Association Tournament
in
accordance with the following rules:
1: The Association shall conduct as Annual Championship
Tournament during the month of November
at a place approved by the Board of Directors in June of each year. The
Tournament Director shall
be appointed by the President of the Association.
a. The entry closing date shall be set by the
Goard of Directors in a meeting to be held in June when the
place of bowling is established.
Chattahoochee Bowling Association Hall of Fame
SECTION 12:
1. PURPOSE
The purpose of this organization is to perpetuate the names of those who
displayed outstanding
ability in the bame of American Ten Pins and/or who have contributed meritorious
service, to the
general welfare and progress of the games in the Chattahoochee Bowling
Association.
2. ELIGIBILITY
a. To be eligible for candidacy to the Chattahoochee
Bowling Association Hall of Fame, a bowler
must now be or have been, a member in good standing in the Chattahoochee
Bowling Association.
b. The candidate must have been a member of the
Chattahoochee Bowling Association for ten years
and/or through meritorious service.
c. The candidate must have bowled in five Chattahoochee Bowling Association tournaments.
3. MEMBERSHIP
a. Membership in the Chattahoochee Bowling Association
Hall of Fame shall be by election as
hereafter described.
b. The Chattahoochee Bowling Association Hall
of Fame members shall have control over the
Hall of Fame. It shall supervise the Hall of Fame in such a manner
for which it is organized.
The Board of Directors of the Chattahoochee Bowling Association shall be
the electors.
c. The Annual Hall of Fame Meeting shall be held
at the Annual meeting. Any nomination for
selection to the Hall of Fame will be made at this time and all resumes
and letters of
recommendations shall be submitted one month prior to this meeting to the
Chairman of the
Screening Committee.
4. ELIGIBILITY AND SCREENING COMMITTEE
a. The President shall appoint
a committee to screen all persons submitted for candidacy to the
Chattahoochee Bowling Association Hall of Fame. This committee shall meet
prior to the
Annual Hall of Fame meeting and submit eligible candidates to the board.
5. ELECTION PROCEDURES BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
a. After the initial year
the number of candidates elected shall be limited to one living candidate
and
one deceased per year.
b. The candidates must recieve 2/3 of the votes to be
elected. Candidates sre elected by point system
with all votes cast counting as one (1). If a candidate recieves 2/3 on
the first ballot, they are
elected. If no one recieves 2/3, low person is dropped from the election
and votes for other
candidates will accumulate to next ballot. On second ballot the candidates
having the highest
accumulated vote total over 2/3 will be elected to the Hall of Fame. If
a tie exists after second
ballot, a tie still exists, no candidate shall be elected.
c. The vote of the board of Directors shall be final.
d. Nominees not selected shall be carried forward for
one (1) year to be considered at the next
Hall of Fame meeting.
6. AWARDS
a. A suitable award will be selected by the Awards
committee and shall be presented to each
individual elected to the Chattahoochee Hall of Fame.
b. This award will be presented with fitting ceremony at an appropiate Association affair or activity.
c. Posthumous awards will be presented to the next of kin of the deceased inductee.
7. EXPENSE
a. The expense of the Hall of Fame awards shall
be borne by the Chattahoochee Bowling
Association.
8. PERMANENT RECORD
a. Members names shall become a permanent record in each yearbook.
Bowler of the Year
SECTION 13:
The Bowler of the Year Committee, as appointed by the President of the
Chattahoochee
Bowling Association, will be responsible to screen all written nominations
and to determine qualified Bowler
of the Year nominees, to be voted on by the Board of Directors 30
days before the Officers Tournament.
1. BOWLER OF THE YEAR -
SUPERIOR PERFORMANCE : The Bowler of the Year Committee,
as appointed by the President of the Chattahoochee Bowling Association
shall be responsible for
screening all Chattahoochee Bowling Association Tournament results for
scratch all events, scratch
singles, all-star roll-off, print out from CBA secretary for scratch high
series and CBA yearbook for
high average and to determine qualified Bowler of the Year nominees, to
be voted on by the Board
of Directors thirty (30) days before the Officers Doubles Tournament.
a. The selection process will be as follows: The
top 11 bowlers in the following categories and events
will recieve points depending on the place of finish. The points will range
from 14 to 4 with 1st
place receiving 14 and 11th place reciveing 4 points for high series and
singles. The
following categories and events, high average, all-star, and all-events
will receive points ranging
from eighteen (18) to eight (8) with first place receiving eighteen (18)
and eleventh place
receiving eight (8).
b. Chattahoochee Bowling Association Annual Tournament
Scratch All-Events Champion, high
average, scratch singles, high series scratch, allstar team qualified through
competition, will
recieve points in the aformentioned manner. Bowlers must have a minimum
of 70 games in a
Chattahoochee Bowling Association league to qualify, will apply to high
average only.
c. An individual can only recieve points one time
in each category. When a tie occur in a category,
points will be added together and divided by the number of bowlers.
d. If a tie occurs for Bowler of the Year, each could
be selected Co-Bowler of the Year as recommened
by the Bowler of the Year Committee.
e. A Bowler who finishes in the top three (3) of CBA
Bowler of the Year points system and wins first
place and finishes in the top three (3) of any other two (2) state, local
and/or National Tournaments
all awhile representing the Chattahoochee Bowling Association and displaying
the highest degree
of integrity and sportsmanship can also be considered for Bowler of the
Year.
f. The Bowler of the Year will be seeded as number
one on the All-Star Team provided he is not a
current PBA member.
2. BOWLER OF THE YEAR - MERITORIOUS SERVICE :
This individual must be a sanctioned
bowler and must have aided in capacity in the improvement in the bowling
game, worked in bowling
promotion, charity, volunteer or involved in fund raising support, betterment
of the North Metro
YABA program or service in an office of the Chattahoochee Bowling Association.
3. All nominations for Meritorious Service must
be presented by a Chattahoochee Bowling
Association member.
4. Nominations must be submitted to the committee by September 1st of each year.
5. Members names shall become a permanent record in each yearbook.
Senior Bowler of the Year
SECTION 14: The Senor
Bowler of the Year Committee, as appointed by the President of the CBA,
shall be
responible for screening all senior tournament results for scratch
all-events, all-star roll-off, scratch singles,
scratch doubles, and sheck with CBA secretary to verify yearbook
for high average and to determine qualified
Senior Bowler of the Year nominees, to be voted on by the Board
of Directors 30 days before the Officers
Doubles Tournament.
1. Senior Bowler of the Year - Superior Performance:
The Senior Bowler of the Year Committee, as
by the President of the CBA will be responsible to screen all sanctioned
leagues and CBA tournaments
that apply to determine who may qualify for Superior Performance Award.
The Committee will report
findings to the Board of Directors for approval with presentation at the
Officers Doubles Tournament.
a. The selection process will be as follows: The
top eleven (11) bowlers in the following categories
and events, singles, doubles, and all-events will receive points depending
on the place and finish.
The points will range from fourteen (14) to four (4), with first place
receiving fourteen (14) and
eleventh place receiving four (4) points. (In doubles event, each bowler
will receive fourteen (14)
points for first and four (4) for last. Points for High Average and All-Star
roll-off will range from
eighteen (18) to eight (8) with first place receiving eighteen (18) and
eleventh place receiving
right (8).
b. CBA Senior Annual Tournament Scratch All-Events
Champion, Scratch Singles, Scratch Doubles.
Senior All-Star Roll-Off and High Average shall recieve points in the above
allocated manner.
Bowlers must have a minimum of 70 games in a CBA sanctioned league to qualify
for high average
points.
c. An individual may only recieve points one time
per category. If a tie occurs in a category, points
will be added together and divided among the tied bowlers.
d. If a tie occurs for Senior Bowler of the Year,
each could be selected as Co-Senior Bowlers of the
Year as decided by the Senior Bowler of the Year Committee.
e. A bowler who finishes in the top three (3)
of Senior Bowler of the Year points system and wins first
place and finishes in the top three (3) of any other two (2) state, local
and/or National Tournaments
all awhile representing the CBA and displaying the highest degree of integrity
and sportsmanship
can also be considered for Senior Bowler of the Year.
f. The Senior Bowler of the Year shall be seeded
as number one on the Senior All-Star Team and
must not have been a PBA member for the past two (2) years.
2. For consideration as Senior Bowler of the Year the bowler must be 55 years of age or older.
Awards Committee
SECTION 15:
The Awards Committee as appointed by the President of the Chattahoochee
Bowling Association,
will monitor the awards program as indicated below:
1. A ball point pen engraved ( Chattahoochee Bowling
Association, Pins Over Average Award, Thanks
for Sanctioning ) will be awarded as outlined below:
75 POA Game
125 POA Series
Seniors only:
60 POA Game
110 POA Series
Limit one award per bowler per season.
Bowler must have 21 games to qualify.
We will continue to give chevrons until our inventory is depleted.
No CBA award will be presented until the bowler has bowled 21 games in
a current CBA sanctioned
league. All games and series involving an honor score, such as 298, 299,and
300 games and 800 series
and above bowled in a Chattahoochee Bowling Association league or Tournament,
and where approved
by ABC will be considered.
2. Bowlers who achieve a 298 or 299 ABC sanctioned game
will recieve an 7 by 9 plaque. Limited to one
in a lifetime.
3. Bowlers who achieve a ABC sanctioned 300 game or
800 series will recieve a 9 by 12 clock plaque with
logo. Limited to one each ia a lifetime.
4. Bowlers who achieve the 700 mark for three bames
will recieve a 9 by 12 master plaque with room for
15 individual plates. Subsequent 700 series will result in the bowler recieving
the individual plate
engraved with the series score, lanes, and date to add to his master plaque,
until the master plaque is
filled. Subsequent 700 series may be in the same bowling season or in subsequent
seasons. Limited to
one master plaque per lifetime.
5. The following will be included on a honor roll page in the Chattahoochee Bowling Association yearbook.
a. High Association Series - Handicap
b. High Association Game - Handicap
( The above awards are for bowlers with an average of 185 and below. Average
at time of bowling
the high game or series must be reported, however, handicap will be computed
after 21 games
are completed and scores computed to the begining of the season are eligible
for an award.
Handicap series and game shall be based on 80% of 200 )
6. Senior Leagues Only
a. High Association Series - Handicap
b. High Association Game - Handicap
( The above awards will have no limitation on average. Average at the time
of bowling the high
game or series must be reported, however, handicap will be computed after
21 games are completed
and scores computed to the begining of the season are eligible for an award.
Handicap series and
game shall be based on 100% of 200. )
7. A bowler may recieve only one Association handicap
award, with handicap series first and game next.
All ties will be awarded.
8. The Awards Committee Chairman shall recieve
$600.00 per year to defray the cost of any expenses
incurred for pickup and delivery of the awards.
League Secretary Of The Year Award
SECTION 16:
The League Secretary of the Year award will be on a point system starting
with 10 points for
each category. One point will be deducted for each error or group
of errors in categories 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 9.
Ten points will be deducted for each, if categories 1, 8, and 10
are not accomplished. Perfect score is 100. A
league must have at least 20 ABC members to qualify.
List of categories:
1. Sanction application recieved on time.
2. Sanction application legible and complete.
3. Bowlers membership application legible and
complete.
4. ABC award request recieved on time and complete
5. Added bowler membership application recieved
on time.
6. Added bowler membership Application legible
and complete.
7. Membership application
sent in on every bowler.
8. Final average recieved within two weeks of
league end date.
9. Final average legible and correct.
10. League delegate attends CBA annual meeting.
a. If a tie exists a drawing will be held and
the winner will recieve a 9 by 12 clock plaque with logo.
b. CBA and CWBA board members are not eligible.
c. A list of the finalist will be announced, and
the award will be presented to the winner at the
Officers Doubles Tournament.
Tournaments and Special Events
Chattahoochee Bowling Association Championship Tournament Rules
SECTION 1: The Board of Directors sahll be responsible for conducting the Association Tournament in accordance with the following rules:
1. The Association shall conduct an Annual Championship
Tournament during the month of Noverber,
at a place approved by the Board of Directors in June of each year preceding
the Tournament. The
Tournament Director shall be appointed by the President of the Association.
a. The entry closing date shall be set by the
Tournament Director in a meeting held in June when
the place of bowling is established.
b. The Association Tournament will be conducted on two weekends during the month of November.
2. The entry fee for each event per individual
shall be determined by the Tournament Director. The entry
fee for all events shall be $3.00. A special assessment of $.05 per line
be added to all tournament
linage, except The Officers Doubles Tournament, to support the Association
Scholarship Fund.
3. Three (3) entrants may bowl on five (5) teams but only once in doubles and singles.
a. No more than three (3) members of the same
team can place more than once in the prize list for
position standing for team events.
b. A bowler participating more than once in the
team event must use their first team score for all
events.
4. ABC championship chevrons and trophies/plaques,
purchased by the Association General Fund will be
awarded to the scratch and handicap winners in all events, doubles, singles,
and team, with the winners
receiving their awards at the Annual Awards presentation.
a. Prise fee will be returned 100%.
b. Team, double and singles prize ratio will be
at least one (1) place for every eight (8) . Scratch prize
will pay at least one (1) place for every five (5) paid to the handicap
division.
c. All-Events prize ratio will be at least one
(1) place for every sixteen (16) . Scratch prize fund will pay
at least one (1) place for every five (5) places paid to the handicap
division.
5. The Chattahoochee Bowling Association Championship
Tournament will be conducted in one (1)
division or as decided by the Board of Directors. Twenty (20) percent of
the prize money is to be
placed in a scratch prize fund. The remaining eighty (80) percent of the
prize money is to be placed
in the handicap prize fund. Any bowler may cash in both scratch and handicap
with the same score.
Handicap for the Association Tournament will be 90% of 210 as approved
by the Board of Directors.
6. Average used for the Chattahoochee Association
Championship Tournament will be the highest final
WIBC/CWBA, ABC/CBA book average for the preceding winter season (21
games or more) . If no
WIBC/CWBA, ABC/CBA book average for the preceding season, use highest
WIBC/CWBA, ABC/CBA
league average for the current season, as of February 1st (21 games of
more). If no current average then
use summer league average of 21 games or more from previous summer. YABA
averages may be used,
All others must bowl scratch.
7. To be eligible to bowl in the Chattahoochee
Bowling Association Championship Tournament, a bowler
must be a member of the Chattahoochee Bowling Association.
8. Appropriate tournament dress must be worn as directed by the Board of Directors.
Chattahoochee Bowling Association Officers Tournament
SECTION 2: ELIGIBILTY:
All current officers of the Chattahoochee Bowling Association, Cobb Woman`s
Bowling Association, adult YABA officers, all elected league
officers including sergent-at-arms for women
and mixed leagues and league representatives as listed on the league
sanction application are eligible.Any changes in league officers must be
certified by the league secretary. Average:must use highest ABC WIBC average
from previous season. If no average from the previous season, use highest
current average of 21 games or more as of tournament date. All others must
bowl scratch. Handicap to be 100% of difference of 200 with no maximum.
A maximum of 5 bowlers per lane, one shift only. Participation will be
on a first recieved basis.
1. Each entry form must be certified by the league
President that persons listed are officers. Applications
not certified will be returned.
2.
Prizes will be awarded as follows ( only one per individual ). In case
of a tie duplicate awards will be given
to the winners.
a. 1st place woman and man, 1st place woman and
woman, 1st place man and man team handicap.
b. High team scratch.
c. High individual series handicap.
d. High individual series scratch.
e. High individual game handicap.
f. High individual game scratch.
3. Entry fee to be current price of bowling for
three (3) games. Money for awards and luncheon to be
furnished by the CBA and CWBA Associations equally.
4. Awards will be given to men and women in events a, c, d, e, and f.
5. Tournament will be held on the first Sunday following the first Saturday in December.
March of Dimes Tournament
SECTION 3:
The President of the Association will apponit a Chairman and working
committe for the March of
Dimes Tournament.
1. The March of Dimes Tournament will be cinducted in October.
a. Handicap of 100% of difference from 200 for
the event will be based on the league average the
individual submits entry through.
b. Awards will be given in the following categories:
1. Men`s singles and Senior Men`s singles in a
classified senior league.
2. Women`s singles and Senior Women`s singles
in classified Senior league.
3. Doubles ( may be men, women, or mixed
) and Seniors in classified Senior league.
4. YABA singles only.
2. The Chairman of the March of Dimes Tournament
will be responsible for ordering the awards as
outlined above for each bowling center.
a. Center Coordinators will be responsible for
detailing a working schedule to include all Directors ( it
may be necessary to request the women`s Association to help cover morning
sessions ).
b. Center Coordinators will be responsible for
turning in monies collected to the March of Dimes
Chairman, establishing center winners and posting of the winners for their
respective bowling centers.
Chattahoochee Bowling Associations Seniors Championship Tournament
SECTION 4: The Chattahoochee Bowling Association will conduct a seniors tournament as an annual event to be held during the month of February.
1. The tournament will consist of three (3) events:
singles, doubles, and all-events. Three (3) games for
singles, three (3) games for doubles, for a total of six (6) games. There
will be an ABC division and a
WIBC division, with two (2) age divisions as follows: ages 55 thru 64 and
65 plus.
2. Tournament rules to be formatted by the tournament committee.
3. Chattahoochee Bowling Association shall offset the cost of awards with a cash grant of $100.00.
Chattahoochee Bowling Association All-Star Roll-Off
SECTION 5:
The All-Star Roll-Off will be held during the month of January, the top
eleven (11) scores
( excluding current PBA members ) will be representing the Chattahoochee
Bowling Association in the State All-Star Tournament. The Bowler of the
Year ( Superior Performance ) will be seeded number one on the All-Atar
team, provided he is not a current PBA member, and will not be required
to compete for position. If the Bowler of the Year is a current PBA member,
the top twelve (12) scores, excluding current PBA members, will represent
the CBA in the State All-Star Tournament. Current PBA members are not allowed
to advance to the State All-Star Touranemnt. If points for current year
Bowler of the Year are desired, the bowler must compete for point standing,
but will remain seeded as number one on the team. Exception to this rule
will occur when no bowler of the year is selected. Then all twelve (12)
positions will be open to the roll-off procedure. In case of ties for any
position, each tied bowler will drop their low game until the tie is broken.
The All-Star Roll-Off will consist of nine (9) games rolled across 18 lanes
at one center. The entry fee will be determined and distributed by the
Tournament Director and all monies in excess of the bowling fee and expenses
to run the tournament will be divided between the winners to be used as
expense money at the State level tournament. The roll-off will be limited
to bowlers who are ABC sanctioned and have a minimum of 30 games as a member
of a current Chattahoochee Bowling Association sanctioned league.
2. The Association will add $120 to the expense
fund to be divided amongst the 12 bowlers. The entry fee
to the Georgia State All-Star Tournament will be paid by the Chattahoochee
Bowling Association.
Chattahoochee Bowling Association Senior All-Star Roll-Off
SECTION 6: The Senior All-Star Roll-Off will be held during the month of January and will be limited to bowlers who are fifty-five (55) years of age and older as of March 1 of the current year of the roll-off. Current PBA members are allowed to bowl for Senior Bowler of the Year points only. Past PBA members must have been inactive for two (2) years to be eligible for State Senior All-Star Tournament.
The top eleven (11) scores, along with the Senior Bowler of the Year will represent the Chattahoochee Bpw;ing Association in the State Larry Schafer Senior All-Star Tournament. The Senior Bowler of the Year will be seeded number one on the All-Star team and will not be required to compete for position, however, he/she may bowl for Senior Bowler of the Year points. If the Senior Bowler of the Year is a current PBA member, the top twelve (12) excluding the current PBA member, will represent the Chattahoochee Bowling Association in the Larry Schafer Senior All-Star Tournament.
In case of ties for position, each bowler will drop their low game until the tie is broken.
The Senior All-Star Roll-Off will consist of six (6) games to be bowler across twelve (12) lanes at one bowling center.
The Senior All-Star Roll-Off will be limited to bowlers who are ABC sanctioned and have a minimum thirty (30) games as a member of a current Chattahoochee Bowling Association sanctioned league.
The entry fee will be determined by the Tournament Manager and all monies in excess of the bowling fee and expense will be divided equally between the participating All-Star members at the State Seniors All-Star Tournament.
1. The Association will also add $120.00 to the "expense fund" to be divided equally among the twelve (12) CBA Senior All-Star bowlers. The entry fee to the State Senior All-Star Tournament will be paid by the Chattahoochee Bowling Association.
General Tournament Rules
SECTION 7: If bids are solicited, each center`s bid will be fully examined and all aspects ( cost of linage, dates, times, and all amenities ) will be put before the Board for discussion before voting. By doing this the Board will have the opportunity to properly discuss and consider aech center`s proposal prior to voting.
All tournament forms shall include:
1.
Premature termination of this tournament brought about by way, national
emergency or emergency causes
relating
thereto or therefrom, fire, natural disaster or any other reason beyond
the control of the
Chattahoochee
Bowling Association shall cause to the extent required thereby, all advertised
prizes,
guaranteed
or otherwise to be prorated in accordance with the number of entrants who
have bowled in each
of
the respective events up to the time of such termination.
The Chattahoochee Bowling Association will pay the entry fee in Team U.S.A. for the current Association Tournament All-Events Scratch winner and the preceding year`s High Average bowler, with a minimum of 70 games in one specific league. These persons must meet all Team U.S.A entrance requirments.
Eddie Holbrook Distingushed Service Award
SECTION 8: This award will be presented to a Director of the Chattahoochee Bowling Association Board of Directors who meets the qualification of this award. Qualification for this award will be as follows:
1. Dedication to bowling, outstanding service
to the Board, leagues, and to the bowlers during the previous
year, March 1 to February 28.
2. The Qualifications will also include
attendance of meetings, willingness to work, always completes
assignments, provides information to leagues at organization meetings and
assists with problems which
arise in leagues.
3. The steering committee will be the electors.
Andy Willett Memorial Scholarship Fund
SECTION 9: The Chattahoochee
Bowling Association, to further their interest in the bowlers code as set
forth in the American Bowling Congress Constitution, namely sportsmanship
and good fellowship, and in the interest of a better education for our
young people, do hereby present scholarships to qualified high school seniors
and college students.
1. The scholarship shall be awarded with the emphasis
placed in three major areas:
a. Bowling will be 30% of scholarship and will include abilities, accomplishments, etc.
b. Hardships will be 50% of scholarship. The ability
or inability for graduating seniors to attend
college based on financial reasons.
c. Academic will be 20% of scholarship, which includes SAAT scores, grade transcripts, etc.
2. In order to insure a cash flow into the
scholarship fund, a special assessmant will be affixed to all
linage bowled in Association sponsored Tournament. This assessment will
be shown on all Tournament
entry forms and reports under the heading of "Expenses".
