Dear readers, I seek relations which emigrate in the 1800-1880 to the USA. They came frome the surname line Scholl, Beierlein, Following names are known by me:Eugen Beierlein (brothers emigrate),Martin Beierlein, This part of the family came from Mainbullau/Bavaria. It would be a big surprise to find maybe any alive relatives from me in the states. Thanks for your help and mails. Torsten Dörr

I found just one Kocher on your site. My ancestors moved from West Germany to Pennsylvania in 1817. My gr gr grandfather, Gottfried Immanuel KOCHER was 6 yrs. old when the family came to the USA. He, known as Emanuel, moved to Ohio, along with a brothe . Some moved further west, but some of the current generations still live in Ohio. Of course, some live elsewhere now.

I really enjoyed seeing the picture of Uncle Bill and his family. I remember well the day he passed on. I respected him greatly. I recall going to the Avalon Council Meeting to see Uncle Bill as a council member.

used search feature to find more kochers-- We are in the Ohio Valley, New Martinsville, WV to be specific. Know that Great Great Great Grandfather was Samuel Kocher, last will entered in St. Clairsville Ohio/ York, Ohio area Swiss-German-Alcase Lorraine descent. When this particular tribe of Bergers, Riggenbach, Schupbach,Kocher, etc came down in wagons w/ oxen into the Ohio Valley area, they separated at the river--some when east and some west onto the land. Mine stayed east of the Ohio River into Virginia in the 1840-1850's (now W.Va.--Wetzel Co.) My family still has the original farm, ox yokes, some sleigh bells, spinning wheels, trunks, German/Swiss written baptismal letters-that were translated. Would like to know more of how Samuel Kocher came to Ohio area--I suppose via Pittsburg like so many others. Please email me if any of this sounds familiar! lkstillion@hotmail.com
