Praising With The Word

When we determine to praise the Lord in the midst of satanic attack, we are operating on the basis of Scriptual principle. When we praise the Lord in the midst of family problems, financial difficulties, sickness, fear, and discouragement and begin to praise the Lord by singing His Word, we are coming against the enemy with the power of a great weapon. Praise only has power, however, when it is coupled with the word of God, His name, and the blood. We should examine our praise to see if we actually are launching spiritual weapons of praise. Is our praise occupied with the declaration of the Word, the Name and the Blood? If not, it will have little or no effect upon strongholds.
Singing the word of God has great power in it, by doing so you are literally resisting the devil and it can be the assurence that he is fleeing from us. It also has great effects while in the midst of the congregation. When a great body people join together, there is a corporate spiritual energy generated that attacks stronghold.
"The weapon of our warfare are not carnal. They are mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds." -- I Corinthians 10:4
The weapons of God's word on our lips will pull down the strongholds, bring miracles, bring sight to the blind (Phyical & Spiritual) cause the deaf to hear, bring deliverance to the fearful, and fills us with joy.
This is the secret to our "song service" or praise & worship service. We are launching spiritual weapons and resisting the devil. He will flee, cancer must flee, demonic spirits must flee, fear must flee, depression must flee. We are set free through our praise and worship. Praise a sacrifice, something we must determine to do. It is an act of the will, not an act of the emotions. We determaine to step out in faith, to do what the will is against doing. David said, "I will bless the Lord at all times, His praise shall continually be in my mouth." -- Psalm 34:1 Every time we gather together, we face a golden oppertinity to bring our hearts into unty with the word of the Lord that flows from our choruses. We develop a devine "punch" that will smite strongholds with a mighty blow. When we resist the devil, he will flee from us.

Praise: A Garment Of The Spirit

Isaish 61:3 speaks of "the spirit of heaviness." There are many people in the contemprary society who are wrestling against that spirit of heaviness. This is more than just a spirit of heaviness, this spirit in contemporary language is called depression. It is not just an influence, it is an actual principality, a stronghold of the enemy, an evil personality. It grips the hearts and minds of people as they look at the negative side of life. It is a spirit that binds, discourages, and causes frustrations.
How do we brake free of this spiritual bondage? I have noticed this is one of the most common spirits that binds people. Praise is a spiriual garment that every believer must wear daily and must be "put on." We have to clothe ourselves with this garment. Again this refers directly to the act of will in praising God. When we get out of bed in the morning we decide what clothes to wear. We go to our closet and make a destinct decision and in the same way, we must also decide to put on this garment called praise so that we can come against the sprirt of depression that bind every one of us.
You see, our praise creates an atmosphere of jealousy in satan because it is praise that he desires from us. It is the compelling drive of his nature, to recieve the worship of men. When we determine in our hearts that we are going to give our worship to God, it makes satan angry and makes him go elsewhere because of the atmosphere of praise we have created. That can trouble him much more than he can trouble us. So next time, instead of putting on the garment of bad attitude... Try putting on the garement of praise
