McQuaids in Ireland

The map below shows the McQuaid ancestral home region as identified by Bell in The Surnames of Ulster and by other sources (see The Name link).  According to Bell, the McQuaid family is associated with Glaslough in the Parish of Donagh at the northern tip of County Monaghan.  The McQuaid ancestral territory includes areas in Counties Tyrone and Armagh, which are adjacent to the northern end of County Monaghan.
