Jody's Rails Northwest Album

Mayo Lumber Company's two truck Shay no. 3 trundles upgrade with the passenger consist of the Kettle Valley Railway. Amazingly, this photo was taken within the city limits of Summerland, British Columbia. August, 1997.
Former Yakima Valley Transportation Brill Master unit no. 21 heads west into Selah, Washington. The trackage was soon removed and replaced further into the hillside to make way for a new road expansion. May, 1998.
Here's one you won't often see. Les Dalles Portage Railroad's Whitcomb idles while passengers board at The Dalles, Ore. The railroad is the only public access to the dam visitor's center, and is provided free of charge during the summer months. June, 1997.
Another look at the Kettle Valley Railway's shay in Summerland, this time a year later. August, 1998.
