FOOTBALL!!

The Chicago Bears are coming off a great season that they will be lucky to duplicate. Instead of a miraculous 13-3, look for the Bears to go 11-5 and host a first round playoff game. The play of Pro-Bowl linebacker Brian Urlacher and running back Anthony Thomas will be key to the Bears winning the first ever NFC North division. Now, if only they could find a way to beat the Packers...

The BYU Cougars started last year looking like the St. Louis Rams, but ended the last 2 games looking like the Detroit Lions: close, but not close enough. Now, with the arrival next year of some new defensive coaches and a really good recruiting year, the Cougars are poised to use their accomplishments last year as a jumping off point. Too bad the BCS is still around....

The Chicago Cubs suck. Even Sammy has had a below-average year (for him anyway). My hope is that the players go on strike, and I get to concentrate on football a little sooner.
