IT IS PRESENTLY IMPOSSIBLE TO WORK OUT THE CENSUSES WITHOUT ENDING UP WITH A VERY LARGE FAMILY. The 1800 census accounts for the two sons born by that date. They are missing in 1810 unless they are misplaced in the under 10 instead of the 10-16 bracket. 1810 accounts for four daughters under 10, we know of two.
By 1820, there is one son under 16 who could be one of the boys under 10 in 1810, but we can account for only three of the four given as under 10. The female 10-16 could be the younger of the known two out of four in 1810. Then there are four more females under 10, and we know only of one (and one was born after the taking of the census.) This totals four unidentified from 1810 (two males, 2 females and four unidentified from 1820 (1 male, 3 females.) Summarizing we identify nine children with 8 unidentified. This would be 17 in a 23 year period; some must have been relatives or wards etc. All baptisms below are Bowers Church.

5-1-6-2-3 ELIZABETH b. 17 Aug; bp. 20 Nov 1803, sponsors John Adam Heist & wife, Susanna DeLong (5-1-6-6.) Elizabeth prob. md. Peter Wile. In addition, a child Henry Long age 2 is also in their household. Lovina would be the daughter baptised in 1828 at Bowers with grandparents as sponsors. The ages for Eliz., Lovina and John fit previous known data. [NA 1850 PA Roll 753, p.73, Berks, Longswamp.]
5-1-6-2-4 MARIA b. 10 Oct 1807; bp. 5 or 15 Nov 1807, sponsors Henry and Gertrude Grimm. Since Eliz. md. a Wile, is this the Maria DeLong who md. Samuel Wile? See (5-1-6-1-5).

[NA 1850 PA Film 754, Rockland, Berks Co. p. 233] Or did the transcriber make a mistake on the birth register?
